Can any experienced parents with kids graduated from SPK section please kindly share, whether it is necessary to take any external tutorials during kindergaten life, in order to meet the academic demand when.promoting to primary section?

As I have heard that the syllabus in kindergarten secion is far to easy to meet the standard for the primary section.

no need. i didn't take my daughter to have any academic tutorials outside school during kindergarten.Just bought her some exercises to do in the summer holiday as sister's recommendation to practice her chinese writing.
SPK is a happy school. let her enjoy life. my daughter is now SPC. it is not easy for her. however, it may due to different reasons. primary school life no matter how it would be more rules, pressure of study, or even classmates and friends. she need to try hard to over come. tutorials class in kindergarten would not help that all but kill the last chance of having a sweet happy memory before real academic life start...
anyway, kid should be able to pay more effort in primary one to catch up. my daughter is ok and get used to the academics level and pace now. don't worry too much. save the money and have more fun or learning for habit development to your kids. balance and happy life is more important during kindergartens!

I am a paulinian since P.1 , I felt like dropping into another world when i was in P.1 , with the new environment and new learning mode, which is totally different from kindergarten. Despite the academic , the whole new learning mode with all the rules in the classroom have stressed me out, so I have sent my girl to some pre p.1 summer courses which is tailored for spcs primary, at least she has some ideas on how p.1's life will be, I think compare to other classmates who haven't join any summer class , (which few of her classmates have joined the pre p.1 class) , the few of them performed quite stable.....just an opinion to share:p
