隨著2009/2010 學年開始在中四推行新高中課程，最後一屆學校考生會應考2010年的香港中學會考。

The 2010/2011 comprehensive report for PKC (P.18) stated that :

"In the SS, only one cohort of students has sat for the HKCEE since the school was founded. In 2010, the percentage of students with 14 or more points in the best 6 subjects in the HKCEE was slightly below the territory average for day-school students. In comparison with schools with similar S1 intake, the school performed barely satisfactorily in the HKCEE in 2010 and the perforance was slightly below the expected level."

PLC may be a good school but not because of its 2010 HKCEE result. And that's why the new Principal needs to implement a series of reforms to upgrade the academic level.
