教育局公開校名，指SMC有以下問題，請問大家覺得以下的批評是否正確：
a)學費減免/獎學金計劃
b)學費調整
c)財務管理

實際學校涉及咩財務違規我就唔係好清楚, 不過學校呢幾年都無加舊生學費, 之前就算加都只係加$100-200, 我覺得唔算係好過份既加幅.

至於獎學金, 學校近年仲加高左果%, 全級頭1-2名係全年學費全免, 3-4減90%.....我覺得都算吸引.

really?? So how would it work normally? If the children can go to the top 15 in the first term of P2, they can have the 獎學金 for the entire P2?? Then how about if they only can get to the top 15 in the 2nd term??

It is counted by the end of each academic year - full year performance. If you child is in top 15 in P2, you do not need to pay school fee in full year P3.

Only Top 1 is 100% off for next year,
Other ranking, 2~15, from 90% to 30% off for next year.
Other than this, SMC has different gift voucher for manner, top student is subject.
If you have good result in public exam, you will get other discount in school fee.
According to calculation, arround 12% of student is free of school fee in each level.
This program is not applied P1, due to no examination,
But manner award is applied for P1.

For most / all of the existing parents or those kids who were already offered a place in the school, we are all aware of the school fees and are ready to pay for it.
The problem is, if the school does not provide the relevant criteria clearly to all public for the application of scholarship, then it is not fair to those pple who cannot afford the school fees, but wish to study in the school. After all, the fact is that DSS are accepting the subsidies from the Govt, whereby the money came from all tax payers. And this is also one of the conditions for the legislators to support introduction of DSS
I wld hope that all DSS schools make it clear their criteria for scholarship application, and make it known to the public before allowing pple send in their application.
