兒子有幸被取錄，我亦會去周六（11日）的briefing，你們會去嗎？有沒有興趣早一點組成一支援網絡，互相照應，以準備來年上小一呢？周六briefing前後我們可到大家樂之類短聚再談。

我都有興趣同大家聯絡吓,不過當天我老公可能會同我一齊去,唯有下次有短聚預我好嗎？

Sorry to respond in English as it's not convenient to type Chinese in the office.

Against my wish, I will not bring my son to the admission briefing on 11 Sep b'cos his kindergarten has arranged an activity for his class on that day. Therefore, my wife can't attend the briefing as well.

So if there is only one man sitting alone at the briefing, that's probably me ^_^

I've just checked that I also need to leave shortly after the briefing and hence a short gathering would not be feasible. If anyone still wants to exchange the contact information (apart from communicating through BK) at the briefing venue, pls let me know by PM. I will then bring a list of BK names of interested parties so that we can make the exchange. Probably I will stay up to 4:10 pm (i.e. 10 mins after the briefing closes).

(btw, it seems not many prospective parents drop by here, nor are they interested in responding.)

As expected, many parents didn't show up at the admission briefing. Most probably they wish to try the lucky draw and look forward to the result of other DSS or private schools.

To those who have done the registration, let's see if we can meet again in the coming year (e.g. the orientation in May 2011 and other parents' talks, etc)

We have attended the briefing today and did ask a lot of questions when seeing the teacher so were the last parents leaving the school.

Yes, quite some parents did not show up. It's not difficult for us to understand their considerations. Actually, it's good to see them making decision early.

For those who are waitlisting, they now can see much hope in front of them (assuming they are genuinely interested in GT). Isn't it good?

We brought our daughter today too! She loves this new school. Hope she'll enjoy her school life in the coming years!

I cannot represent the school and cannot give you definite answers.

It's just my personal view that unless those parents absent from last Sat's briefing have informed the school in advance with good reason and agreed a late registration mutually, I don't see why the school will offer them the seat again.
