I would like to know when should a kid recognize all the numbers (1-9) and alphabetics (a-z).

My son has very short attention span, even though he can memorize the numbers and a-z, he couldn't recognize them (recognize only from 1-5, and a-h). I am so worried. He doesn't even know chinese characters. He's now 2.5 years old. How can i help him? I tried to revise with him everyday, but he just doesn't seem to be interested. Also, i don't know why, he can't recognize color very well......anything i can do??

Hi, my son 2.3 years old, he can read A-Z both upper & lower case and the numbers (1-100).

I suggest you can stick some poster with alphabet and numbers on the wall, where he can easy to read by himself!

Coz i am a working mom, and always have to OT. Will that work if i just post it on the wall? and revise with him only 15-30 mins a day??

我個仔而加19個月會1-10, A-Z, 我都無咩時間教, 多得個maid日日同佢讀, 我買咗0-9, A-Z砌砌板, 姐姐每一日都同佢讀幾次,而且佢有睇VCD, 有ABC song, 又有教one, two, three! 平時返屋企,我都會同佢玩counting(俾幾張卡,同佢一齊數1,2,3,4...), 又會同佢平日玩時講多d 1,2,3,(e.g. 同佢running, 會講1,2, 3, go...), 行街見到d 數字,英文都會同佢認字. 多方面不斷教佢, 一有機會就教,應該有用,唔駛一定要坐係度先教到.
