Referring to the topic of "Ying Wa Vs St. Paul boys" under the forum of "小一選校", someone pointed out that Ms. Lam, the principal of YW (primary section) would retire soon. I really hope that it is just a rumour or even a joke. I tried YW for son, soley due to Ms. Lam. I trust her capability and creativity as well as her concepts and methods of dealing with the kids.

Can the parents of YW clarify the above rumour, please? If it is true, I need to re-plan my arrangement for my son.

as Mrs Lam said she does not have a retirement plan yet

When did she tell you (or say in the briefing session this year ?) that she didn't has any retirement plan?

I also have great concern on this rumour. Lam is a very charming principal. Ying Wah has just changed to DSS for two years but increasingly having good reputation and recongition by parents in recent years. Please also let me know the truth and I hope it's only a rumour. I also have difficulties in selecting another boys college on HK side vs Ying Wah if I'm so lucky that Ying Wah can give me an offer next week. Principal Lam is a crucial factor in my selection process.

Can any existing parents clarify this issue for us? Anymore info? Thanks a lot.

according to my memory she has briefly said about this at the parents meeting at the hall last year.

The retirment age for head-teachers is 60. Headmistress Lam is only 54 or 55. So, I think it's a rumor only!

Actually Headmistress Lam said she sometimes visited BK. Maybe she will clarify the rumor by herself in order to ease any worries of parents before release of the admission result on 24 Nov.

You should ask "Lemonred" since she/he first spread this rummor

"Lemonred" said it was friend's friend during a gathering had such claim.

Similar to XX bank is bankrupted and please withdraw the money ASAP

Mrs Lam has her charms and energy to run a school. The reputation of YW is getting better and gaining lots of publicity becoz of Mrs. Lam.

It is normal and this is another good sign that YW is under the spotlight and talk of the town
