Yes my girl is taking Volin same as the other. I tried to ask her to change her mind, but she insist. Anyway hope she can keep on praticing and learn happy.

My son told me they had to self-introduce themselves, and did something liked 'swear', e.g. promise to be polite ..... (should be some rules to follow). He said 3 kids dropped out (teacher said 'missing') from class, so now only 23.

My girl was exciting for whole day, (I dont know why). But I can feel she is very happy with her first day school.
When she slept last night, she also smiling... .
This morning i don't have to wake her up. When she hear the clock ring, she wake up automatically.

My girl did not tell me much about school. She just said that she was very happy, specially with the new classmate. She told me that some kids knew her, but she don't know who are they. (I guess are some kids from BK)
This morning is the 3rd day to school, and she still woke up quick. Me and my hubby was shock-hope she get keep it up. She told me that teacher spoke English yesterday which she understood all of it. And they meet Principle Yip and Lau as well.
She told me that the P2 kids sing the school song on the stage and it was so nice . She force her eldest brother (P3 in CKY) to teacher her yesterday night.

Yes I will observe for at lease this month. But my son was in P3 now and he asked me to pack him lunch for 2 years.
Regarding the school bus, I will observe 1-2 weeks before I call back to school.
-First day school, the bus forget to drop my daughter back home which suppose arrivce home at 12:15. At last she back home at 1:35 (No one called me to update)
-My son suppose to get in the bus at 8:50, but everyday bus came at 8:15-8:20 (No announce at all).
I don't want to give trouble to school, therefore I will observe till next week.

Unexpectedly, my daughter said the lunch box is very good 
, that I worried she won't like it. But I will observed for 1-2 more weeks caused may be she feel so funny that she can have lunch with her classmates.
For the school bus, the driver and the nanny is still polite and fine, but the only problem is they do not know the place around us, so it still takes a long time after school (they will call when they reached the drop off point,there will be a delay as the bus need to wait until the helper / parents walk from the home to the drop off point..
My girl is very happy that she could finally start to do the homework (drawing and thinking about her favourate stuff) and finding the photo to introducing her.. She keep on asking me from day 1 that when she will got the book and when she will have homework.

My girl is a picky person-especially on food. Therefore I no wonder she don't like it.
Regarding the school bus service, I knew is diffucult for them to arrang well in the first week, but I think they should give parent a call to confort them instead of no news- I called the bus nanny, but no apologies even she got so late and ask me to keep on waiting and without letting me know the approximate time.
I know is not the school fault, just some special case that happen in some bus route.

My boy is in hemister group. He said 2 boys and 3 girls in his group. Boys suggested "Orange" because the table is orange and girls suggested "hemister", and finally girls win. You see, how gentlman they are!
Last night, he brought the homework back home and I saw the subject is - All about me. He told me that the teacher wrote the sentences very fast and he could not finish in the class, that's why he have to finish at home. He wrote - My favourite food is .....But, I did not notice that the teacher asked them to draw or write anything he likes.
Thanks for the sharings of 1A parents. At least, I get more information of what is happening of our kids in the school.
My boy told my helper that they run in the playground in the morning teatime, that's why he didn't eat anything. Everyday, I just let him bring around 300ml of water. Does anybody know whether they can refill the water during lunch time in the school?

Yes. My son told me this morning his group got 2xx marks, the last two groups will be responsible for tidying up the classroom. If they put their head on the table or use the hand to support the head, the teacher said their head is going to drop and lose 10 marks, so everybody sitting properly.
Thank you for your 報料. My son didn't tell us what they did in the school. Instead, he said some classmates brought "bear" biscuit, instead of fruit and "c" lunch menu looks very nice yesterday
For schoolbus, I found some kids sleep deeply in the schoolbus (schoolbus #11) in the morning.

My son (in 1A) said some classmates got new textbooks today (such as PTH...), but he didn't. He could not told exactly, but most of his classmates got it. I also ordered textbook in orientation day, I worry that some administration problem happened.
How about your kids? Have they get any textbook or other things already?
I'm a working mum, can I also be parent volunteer?

I will try to ask her tomorrow. She is very happy caused the team finally win so that they can play in the tree house on Monday.
I also want to be the volunteer on outing (but I may not in HK everytime when they have outing), I want to know also.

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday was Sunday, my girl woke up at 6:30am cause she wanted time pass fast and she can go back to school faster on Monday.
I do not receive any books from her niether. She told me the teacher will give them on next week.
Re the homework, so far no homework at all for my girl. I saw her bring a piece of paper-introduce myself. She asked me to give her a family photo and that's all. She wrote her favorite things on it and draw a family picture at the back.
My god! This morning I forgot to give her the moon festival's laten-They must bring today.
My girl told me that she was 班長 which she need to collect the handbook/notes and assist teacher. I asked her why she have been selected, she told me because she seat well on the chair whole day. And one more kid been selected too.
Yes sometimes she slept deeply in the bus which she don't even remember to get off the bus on the first day
. And mine was the big bus, therefore the nanny couldn't realize that she was still in the car as she seat at the back. After the bad experience, from now on, she told me that she will not sleep in the car and try to play or talk with the others to keep herself awake. (But myself think it was not a bad idea to take a nap in the bus, so that when she back home, she will have energie for acitvity)

The principle told us that they will try to move ALL back by then on 2009, Sept, although the other rest facilities are not 100% complete yet.

Thanks your information. My son said Mr. Chan is funny and he described himself was too old to catch them. He likes Science class and it burns their curiosity to know what was happening. In respect of Maths, it's easy and I think they can do more difficult "additions" or "deductions".

My son selected Saxophone. He thought there will be instrustment class on coming Friday. He felt sad once we told him that he only need to start bringing the saxophone next week. For sure, he really want to play that heavy copper. However, we are very worry if he can easily take care the saxophone which is 6KG (including the suitcase).

今日我仔好好唱口, 成日唱住兩首英文歌, 一首有關星期幾, 另一首關於動物叫聲! 仲有其他, 唔太記得佢唱乜!

My girl told me only 1 kid in 1A class cried, all of the rest are brave and teacher gave them 1 candy at the end after injection.
I don't think they can leave things under the desk, they have to bring home everyday. They don't need to bring the ART things to school only bring on Monday-the Art class.
The school bag for the kids nowaday was super heavy. My son was in P3 now, and the school bag are much heavier then in P1 and P2, poor kids...........................

My P3 boy learn Clarinet, and within 3 years, he and the other rest classmate played very well. I am glad that he can learn such instructment during his school life. And he enjoyed so much.
Regarding the singing team, the qualifly kids will choice by music teacher (and it was not true if you don't learn instructment and you will be in singing team). Cause most of the kids are learing instructment in this school.
In the end of the year, I remember that kids need to do project in both English and Chinese subject. And during the school year, they also need to hand in some science project as well which gave me headache as I am not good on that. (Ex: they need to make an ant habitat).
In my case, I think parent need to get involve. Because I think is difficult for a P1 kid to search information from the internet and libary by themselves.

Dar All,
My son joined EAC French class last year. I do not expect much cause it was only a short period-once per week. But so far he can speak some vacabulary, not bad.
Because of the time arrangement, therefore i did not join the EAC, but will join in the second semaster.
My daughter told me that today lunch C, according to the hot weather, therefore the taste change. Kids who suppose to eat lunch C need to wait awhile and the school changed other meals to them.
What I always concern in school is the washroom which kids doesn't really know how to handle-clean up before use etc. And girl told me that there are some insects inside the washroom, therefore some of the kids afraid to get in. Really hope school can ask YIYI to clean up more often.

學校安排的ECA，除了部份ball games是由學校教師帶領外，大多數的興趣班其實是由外判老師執教的，所以質素與外間的差不多，不會有很大的驚喜。
反而，值得推薦的是那個聊天會，因為可與老師及校長聊天，亦能與其它級別家長交流心得，更可以了解學校發展。另外，多接觸蔡繼有的學生，就可更加了解學生的質素如何呢！

Hi Heiheima,
話就話校長與林主任輪流駐守，但亦試過兩位因校務而同時甩底，最後由家長主持。雖然如此，但家長間互相溝通閱讀心得，及多了解高年級甚至中學生活呢。在暑假前，聊天會成員更組成了逛書局活動，帶同子女一起出席，頗有意思呢！

My son said teacher had chosen 2 students (one boy one girl) for 'show and tell' on stage as performance, but he could not tell exactly in what occasion. So maybe your son is smart enough for performance. Congratulation !

My son told me in piecemeal only, but he said there would be something like 'performance' and should be 'on stage'. Teacher only chose few classmates. Maybe we will learn more later.

I have an elder son in P.5 and we have been buying the brown shoes from the co. liaised by PTA. The price and quality is reasonable. If required, you can call the lady from the co. and she would deliver to your nearby MTR or train station. So, you do not need to rush to order now. (I received the order form last night.)
My son in 1B has done his show and tell but did not hear him saying about the play on stage?!

買兩件長袖襯衫(2件不同款),一條長褲,一條至兩條短褲(學校prefer著短褲,長褲要低過15度先好著,但小朋友怕凍就同學校講下都ok),
長白襪子x 2對/ 短襪子 x 2-3 對
運動服 : 衫 & 長褲 x 2套 (但羅莎校服的物料認真麻麻,阿仔的長褲勾一下就爛掉報銷)
運動外套 x 1 (一定要買,夠保暖)
啡色冷外套 x 1 (一定要買國產雪花牌ok)
冬天大衣 x 1 (去年仲係淺咖啡色那件,都幾暖.但已轉款,新款幾醜下.大部份家長都話不買,因再凍d我就比阿仔著藍色羽絨外套)
11月中已要著,記得阿仔去年11月中去旅行已著住冬季運動服.鞋未有著住白色都ok.
