我5月尾已幫囡囡寄咗叩門信,今日收到一封 still is waiting list的回覆信,請問有無家長往年也有這樣的經驗?何時會有2nd interview的機會呢? thank you

My giri is on waiting list too. I sent a letter to GH in November. But I did't receive any update from GH, not even the letter that Jey mentioned. Just wonder if those on waiting list will be really considered. If any mommys who know cases happened in previous years, pls. come and share. Thank you very much.

If you can check the disucssion in "07年9月讀GH P.1家長，分享一下", you will find some discussions on waiting list students in 07-08.

Don't worry. GHS do accept waiting list students.

the way that 德望 to play is putting all girls as " waiting " at the beginning. During summer, they will call for acceptance. Not many gilrs will take 德望 as this is just a OK school.

小囡也是waiting,上星期4,收到GHS嘅電話通知,今日下午2nd interview!你不如打电話去學校問下,因為我見今日都有5,6位小朋友2nd interview!同埋今日都已經交埋註冊費了!

我打咗電話問啦,個位職員好有禮貌咁同我解釋未知,所以我都唔好意思再追問,但佢話WAITING LIST有多數有機 2ND INTERVIEW喎!!

不是這樣的。聽校長說，小朋友在這階段的成長因人而異，有時第一次考試時可能表現不佳，但遲數月後又會突飛猛進，所以2nd interview通常會稍遲，而且通常是校長親自見。

德望OK 不OK見人見智，但事實上它是私立學校，所以也是家長要考慮的一個原因。

Congratulations to those mums who received call from GH for 2nd interview.  I called the school last week.  The staff told me that the 2nd interview has started.  The process will continue until even the start of the semester.

My girl is still waiting for the call.  Really hope that she will be accepted so that we can plan the summer activities earlier.

I think every school has its good sides.  Finding a suitable school to suit the kids' character is more important.

Hope both of us will receive call from GH next week. Hope it's just a matter of time to be invited for interview. I don't mind waiting as long long as my girl will be accepted.

註冊費$300.-會係8月1日交學費時扣回，至於2nd interview 的內容會同1st interview差不多都係叫小朋友畫吓圖畫，問吓佢自己畫個幅圖畫的內容，問吓小朋友日常的事，例如平時邊個照顧佢咁，至於家長方面都係傾吓小朋友日常的事，例如小朋友平時學啲咩興趣班等．校長會講一啲關於學校的事及對小朋友的要求，家長又可以問吓有關學校的事，基本上都係傾吓計，好輕鬆所以唔使太擔心．

For example,　小朋友要跟一些好同學到別一間學校，或去跟父母交談後認為到另一類學校對小朋友的發展更好．．．等，都是聽說得來的。曾聽校長說她從不勉強人。

My girl is accepted by Good Hope finally. She is interviewed by the headmistress and was told to be accepted immediately. We need to register on 8/1 as others.

Sorry to reply to you late. I sent two letters to GHS. One was sent right after receiving the waiting list notification. And the other one was sent in June. Not sure if the letters help. But at least we had shown our eagerness and sincerity in GHS.

Some of my friends who have girls at P2 or P3 told me that they received phone call from GHS for 2nd interview in August time. So there's still chances to get in. Even the staff in GHS told me before that we may receive call in August or even September.

Hope you will receive the good news soon.
