....我都知道有關小學的不利消息....但佢地都話幼稚園好好bor.....d老師 & 同學仔好好感情.....如果係我....根德園冇小學部...你都當聖若望冇小學部黎compare......佢地d 英文上小學絕對冇問題....根德園就中文都勁....但真係好多功課....幼稚園就禁多功課....好慘 bor

...但如果我係non-working MaMa, 都會選根德園......我會睇多2yrs 小學的派位消息....maybe 岩岩行334...有d 唔stable jey.....其實派位都計埋你住邊,同埋Band 1 好多都係直資....唔一定100%關小學事.....到時選小一都係禁差咪出去try lor.....多個保險....

我好似聽人講SJC都好多功課架, 其實多不多功課我都無問題, 最重要我想小女所謂的好英文是不只講, 還要懂得寫,如果SJC的中文程度不差的話,我都會選SJC,當然最重要是SJC出來的學生扣門考小學的能力不比根德園差啦.

D P.6 派位唔好lor.....你可以去"小學" 討論區睇下....但d人係針對某d miss lor.....好唔polite....你當睇8卦新聞gum睇會好d......

其實派位係同自己住bin, 睇下你有冇哥哥姐姐&你個冇人知點計既number都有關ka ma.....

派位唔好....唔一定100%係小學problem....

我都冇諗住要派位....而家D Band 1 小學,大部份都係直資or私立ka la.......你話你要幾lucky 先派位派到band 1....

我個女讀緊k.3, 要回家做的功課其實一直都唔多, 可以說好少!因為大多數在學校巳經完成! 所以每星期有幾日平日時間仲可以去耀中學嘢。但在學校學D嘢都很深, 但D同學仔成績又OK, 上堂又開心。其實每間學校都有家長喜歡和有不滿的家長, 自己都聽過有不同家長彈自己個仔/女間(S.K./根德/啓思/約克)。當然亦有好的! p.s. 有些家長不喜歡根德沒有西人老師,功課多, 壓力大 (個個都要求有100平衡分, 因朋友個B平衡分只有80以上), 我唔可以說針對每個小朋友都有同後果, 起碼有好多都真係100分。但對一些小朋友就會失去讀書興趣! 在幼稚園巳無咗讀書興趣, 都幾驚! 睇你搏唔搏。S.K.有家長(佢地係朋友, 一個係S.K, 一個係SJC)覺得S.K中,英都無SJC深, 不過可能真係派得好D? K.1中西雙班主任, 但K.2無, 要留心! 啓思有家長唔鍾意完全無功課, 怕上小學有問題。
我個女K.3巳學小學D嘢 (英,數), 但好輕鬆, 好happy。不過我就知有一至兩個小朋友成績弱點(都唔低分), 或中文好過英文, 因為每星期有中,英默書各一, 但中文次次100, 英文不一定100。
其實九龍都唔多好好的免費小學, 好的多數一定要比money, 派唔派到問題不大, 覺得學校會睇個小朋友強唔強, interview 時突唔突出。時代唔同, 我覺得小朋友讀書應該開心, 間學校又唔好好淺,派位好唔好, 我覺得私校及直資都仲好, 因中文用普通話教。choice 好多,好多。

雜費 (twice a year), half day 係 around $2,200, full day 係 $3,100.

要$既活動有敬老會, 老師家長週年聚餐, 一年兩次既親子旅行, 呢d都係自願參與既.

畢業生, last year 我大囡個班有 at least 6-7 個係直上既. SJC 亦係我囡既 only back up.

我細囡依家都係 SJC 讀 K2.

The reading skills is ~ P1 standard and can read story book by themselves. About 50% can speak fluent english because it depends if they have opportunity to practise at home.

我女女岩岩4月插班入K1 全日..有咩唔好暫時睇唔到..不過我女女只係番左一個月就已經自己睇Story Book..雖然唔係全部識..同埋而家佢一唔聽話我只係講'唔比佢番學同唔比佢做功課'佢就即刻乖乖聽話..可見佢係幾咁鍾意學校..雖然好多父母都想子女'平步青雲'(包括我)但見可以培養到佢咁鍾意讀書..'平步青雲'已係其次啦~好似岩岩星期日咁..我同老公要睇電視..叫女女一齊..佢寧願係房寫copy book 寫左1hr~至於中文程度..我睇過我朋友仔仔以前d功課(k2-k3)..k2要學詞語同數學要計加數..k3要做句子..唔知咁算唔算深..不過我覺ok啦..再難d係考埋家長(好似岩岩老師要我女女做一個book report..一個月內讀10本English Story Book.. 仲要每本畫一幅pic..同find 3 new word form the stroy book & ask the child 5 question about the stroy ) 我諗如果我好似當年要番工咁..都唔知邊到搵時間幫佢完成個report law~

Oh! Sorry for this delay, peggyyau.

I am not sure about this but my elder daughter is now studying in one of the traditional schools and she loves it and to be honest, she is coping quite well compare to the other kids at school.

If they were asked to do written test, of course they will have advantages. I know quite a number of my friends did 扣門 sucessfully.

English standard? SJC kids shall have no problem at all.

I call them before, they told me that $3100 for half-day and $4100 for full-day and to be paid in 10 periods. But I think this maybe wrong.

以下是個人意見, 希望都可以幫忙。
sjc功課不是很多, 多數學校時巳經做好, 返到家有很多時間, homework 都有, 但不多, 每次都是少少, 不會有狂抄寫的情況。因k.2是全日, 參加出面的課程要注意時間。
我個女k.1時, sjc 的中文書普通, 是港產發行商, 英文就有迪士尼出版的練習, reading book 有ladybird, brimax 出版的boardbook, --那在書店買唔會平的書(現在k.3都用我覺得不錯的書, 但巳少了boardbbok)。
k.3練習就use longman 出的多。
佢地作風比較低姿態, 好似好神祕。但老師及嬸嬸都好有愛心, 小朋友又好仲意老師及嬸嬸; 因我自己接送往來學校, 所以有眼見。
普通話一星期一堂, k.2開始由native教, k.1都是由合格本地老師教, 所以要出去學。
學校就有3-4個西人老師教 phonics 及 oral。
class teacher 亦會英文教書 (k.1開始時會中, 英兩用, 因不是個個小朋友英文好), 之後就中文及聖經才是廣東話, 一天大約有45分鐘廣東話。
但留意k.2開始全日制!

膳食何能healthy 但唔好味, 因為d 同學仔唔喜歡食, 妳可以自己帶。
但留意派位問題, 可能不會比其他好, 多數要靠自己考。
maths 深, k.3 巳經雙位數加減, 我的朋友個個哇一聲, 但d同學仔個成績相差不多, 個個考試都有100分!(我認識的幾個同學, 但不是考頭幾名的)。
所以我覺得佢地學校學術好。

For those parents whose children take school bus to St. Johannes:

Please remind the auntie in the school bus to wear the seatbelt for your kids. I saw that all the children in my school bus do not wear seatbelt. I reminded the auntie, but she just put seatbelt for my child only.

I remember the old school bus doesn't provide seat belts, I think that is the reason why those auntie still not use to it.

Last week SJC changed a new school bus on our route. One day after school, my daughter told me that she Buckle up her seat belt by herself.

I think we should not only remind the auntie but also teach our kids to.....

Can any mom tell me what the children do in school everyday?  My son said he watched Thomas the Tank Engine yesterday.  And sometimes Barney, Noddy, etc.  Is it true?
There are coloring papers brought home everyday.  Most of them are alphabets, numbers, etc.

早上響playground玩完就做早操,我偷睇過......around 9:05 la.....
佢地有phonic lesson la....singing la....learning shapes la.....learning colours la....counting la....by different teacher....they will sitting at table for group....Nash is table 1, and his class has 3 tables.

one lesson will be playing indoor playroom....they will watching TV when the time for prepare get off.....cos Nash is also pick up by father....kids wait for school bus and wait for pick up will watching TV..but not sure from when.....

Hello, thanks everyone.  I did not got to the school trip too.  Maybe we can come out and meet sometime.  I did not know any parents in school, except coming here to chat with all of you.

Did you child attend the afterschool activities?  Mine did not, no one pick him up afterwards, and need to add $400 dollars more if ask the school bus auntie to pick him up.

I think I will just find something around my area for him to take lesson.

What kind of activities do you go?  We just attend music class at Parsons.

My son surprised me one day, he can read all the sentences in the Alphabet Book. Of course, he cannot read the words, but by looking at the pictures, he can speak out the sentences. He can sing all the songs in the song book and phonics book.

I think the English teacher is quite good.

hi,,Lilna,,nice to meet u here,,我仔嗰班得我1個接送,其餘都坐校巴,所以都好少同其他家長交談.
我仔Jason有响學校上畫班,另外啱啱响又一城報咗溜冰,,因為佢返full day,所以都冇報其他啦.
另柏斯個小小莫札特班Jason 2歲半嗰時上咗1個學期咋,因為後尾學嗰d樂理對佢嚟講都唔係好明,佢冇乜興趣所以停咗lu.
Nathan呢?上咗幾耐ar?

學校已收左我亞仔讀下年k1. 已我亦交左留位費.

其實e間學校係我心儀. 當然因為佢係英文幼稚園. 而我睇哂你地同埋之前家長留言. 亦相信佢地英文係冇問題..
我有以下問題相問一下.. 希望你地可以解決我問題. 因為我唔想作錯決定..

(1) 問中文占比重幾多??? ( 因為我可能唔會上佢地小學, 所以怕上左主流學校之後, 好多課本都係中文. 唔知跟唔跟上)

(2) 家下雜費為$2200 及$3300 (全日).. 唔知仲有冇其他費用要俾??? 校服又幾多錢? 如全日係咪連睡袋都要係佢地度買??? 活動費用多唔多???
sorry因為佢雜費比其他學校貴好多.. 所以希望有所預算..

(3) 課外活動係咪一定要參加??

其實我本人已去in SC同KV 但係唔係好喜歡學校環境.

Hi Bol

I think school uniform is quite expensive. The winter uniform, I paid around $1000. Summer around $700.

I bought 2 sets regular uniform plus 1 set of sports uniform.

多謝你們回應.,
其實我都覺聖諾望over all cost not expensive. 因為一般國際班都要3500 + 150 ( 雜費)... 而班內不是internation 同學... 依樣唔係好多國際班有..
而程度 : 我都相信佢地都會比其他學校前一d.

而語言 : 每一日都有中文, 而一個星期有2堂 ( 半小時 )普通話. ( 依樣同出面國際班一樣)

我本人亦喜歡佢有義工服務. 因為我都想同仔仔一齊去參與依樣事..

如以上係不對請告知...

Hi, today I forgot to give a cheque to Nathan for winter uniform!!

Need to buy dark grey socks and black shoes also.

By the way, have you give 5 uniform photos to the teacher? I gave some photos to teacher, but not in uniform before. Need to do it ASAP.
