如果不讀IS幼兒園，入IS Reception or Primary 會很困難?

Actually, I would like my kid to have some experience/interest in Chinese and evenually would like him to study in IS. So I was thinking whether I should let him to study in LS kindergarten (international stream) until K2 and then change to IS reception. By that time, will that be very difficult to get into IS?

Or I should let him study in IS kindergarten, as it is very competitive to get into IS reception??

Any sis has any comment on this?

From my observation on IS kindergarten interview (K2 level), kids need to be very good in English, both listen and speak. And some look for social skills such as playing with peers and follow teachers instruction. Not much focus on academic. To answer your question, think they look for social, active and independent kids, if the LS kindy is able to train the kid this way, then it should be fine.

My daughter studied in Local K2, then swtiched to IS reception.

Reception is easier to get into than Year 1 based on what I had heen told by a few IS I  applied.

係學校mass intake果年申請，因為位多，相對容易d。

在local幼稚園讀吓，打好小朋友中文個底，亦有家長咁做，其實效果係幾正面，但那些家庭多數是一個家長能說近native英語，比到小朋友英文語境，又或者有兄姐讀IS，有入學priority。咁樣先較有機會在位少的情況下，仍然成功考入。
