讀書係講求小朋友學習態度，就算家長係專業人仕，吾代表小朋友一定得到佢真傳。幫到初小都幫吾到高小。個人認為，只要小朋友上堂留心，老師講野上心。其他都不是問題！

Of course no la.

Based on my estimation, total of 180 seats in P1  are allocated  as follows:

1st round
~ 35 has brothers
~ 10 old boys+catholic
~ 45 (20 marks - majority are catholic+elder boys) - by random draw

2nd round
~ 90  random lucky draw, don;t care if you have religion (~ 86 live in zone 41, ~ 4 live outside zone 41)

...~75% allocated to people has no relationship to the school or  唔識人....
...~30% are catholic (the remaining 70% is at your choice)
...100% don't care if you are small B

放鬆d啦香港人.... 幼稚園已經咁擔心, 幾時擔心同升中, 升大學 ???  何況, 入到喇沙都唔代表一定成可以成才吧 !! 一切交給上天安排吧 !

如果如你所講我就舒一口氣了。
不過，仍有擔心，因聽聞要讓孩子考進喇沙，1)要讀名幼[自問俾唔起$], 2)要讀過名playgroup[如多多], 3) 懂英普, 4)要游泳叻, 5)參加很多興趣班...訓練到孩子樣樣都識咁。唉！加上我仔是細b, 冇宗教, 冇$, 我聽得多覺得好絕望 ;(

1)要讀名幼 - interested to know which one? kids are from different kinders as mentioned before
2)要讀過名playgroup[如多多] - never heard of .. this is a traditional chinese primary school and will not be good match for kinder which focus on  English only.
3) 懂英普 - putonghua is not counting to the final marks. However, it is quite demanding on both chinese, english and maths.
4)要游泳叻 - never heard of.. only need to swim by 50m at P6 with one style.
5)參加很多興趣班...this is optional and is ~ $120 per lesson which is cheaper than outside
6) 加上我仔是細b - can start one year later lor and become big big B
7) 冇$ -  no school fee wor

當日給你的回覆不是要嘲笑你，而係想話你知中晒呢啲看似係缺點的條件，根本唔重要，一樣可以喺喇沙讀得好好、好開心。比啲信心阿仔同自己，唔好妄自匪薄。加油！

讀名幼 can get into top tier primary schools such as LS, DB, DG, MCS and SM are not 100% correct. It may be true for DSS and private schools but definitely NOT true for subsidized schools. Many parents send their kids to St Cat, KV, etc and thought their kids can get into LS, MCS. I also believed this couple of years ago (for my 1st kid). Now of course I know how this game plays. I no longer send my 2nd kid to 名幼, rather I can spend the money in a more meaningful way.

Did it happen before 50-60 seats allocated to kids with elder brothers?

25 marks - just 10 on average? I always thought it could be 30-40. In the building I live, already 2 kids with 25 marks.

Everyday I am thinking on the same questions, whether all 25 marks can be allocated, whether I should apply some DSS for my son, whether I should train him for interviews, etc.

--> this is a rough number, interested to know if these two boys are in the same grade or brithers?.
The worst case, if there are 90 kids have brothers, all the 25 and 20 points don't stand a chance.

如果真係 90 人有阿哥讀緊 , 有 25分係手都無用 , 加埋住 41 區又抽唔到 , 呢個 case 叩門會唔會成數高 D 呢.....

90 unlikely, meaning 15 kids out of 30 kids per class have got brothers.

InitialD - I know you're LS parents, could you kindly tell us how many kids in your son's class have got brothers? Then we can multiply it by 6 and get a rough figure. We can further multiply the figure by 10% or 20% for assuming there are more and more kids having elder brothers studying at LS.
