Sally Gardner 我地睇過 Strongest Girl in the World 都好好睇,圖書館有本 3 in 1, 有齊 Invisible Boy + The Boy who can Fly + Strongest Girl in the World, 不過有啲 pre-teen 可能會覺得淺,唔夠 challenging?

阿仔自己揀嘅:

Tiger's Curse
http://www.amazon.com/Tigers-Cur ... rds=the+tiger+curse

我之後先發現,除咗 Indian myths, 仲有 romance...

Mesmering, my boy's still in the middle of book 1. So far he's happy with it. I'm also reading it because I want to know how much romance stuff is there. There are some kisses... but also adventures for boys so I guess he will read on. In fact he has recommended it to a girl classmate and seems like they both enjoy it.

My boy shared the romance parts with me... and the uneasy one was ... me.    He just found them silly...

Anyway I took the chance to share with him how to find a good gf and a good wife!

He was reading Alex Rider before he came across the Tiger's Curse. I'm not sure if he's now reading both series together. The Giver... I found it boring... hehe!

Is it the weather? recent interests all on serious and sad books?

I have read The fault in Our Stars. It's touching but really sad. I had to read "The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared" to cheer myself up after that!

Funny, your chats remind me of a conversation with a dad here 2 years ago.

The dad was asking for help to find Jacqueline Wilson's The Longest Whale Song, I replied that that book had kindle version and the dad said his daughter would like to read printed books.
And that daddy sounds like the shadeslayer now... or am I imagining things? hee hee!

How many names do you have all these years?! or how many quarrels?

but really thanks! I didn't know about Jacqueline Wilson until your post. Now my girl likes Tracy Beaker very much!

"mesmerising  Especially when his new school has kindles for lending out.  發表於 昨天 22:24"

Kindles for lending out? This must be a very good school!

I always hope that when more people use kindles in HK, our public libraries will have kindle books for loan.

Daydreaming again...
