From my limited experience on HKU, CUHK and HKUST, you are no need and not allow to book in advance, but you need to arrive earlier than the starting time.

Some tips:


1. Check the time slots for your targeted programs, may be 2-3 sessions for the same program. If you can't join the first session, you may need to queue up for the second session, usually wait for 90 min.

2. I aimed for first session, I arrived 30 min before the session start, I secured a seat in MBChB.

3. Some hot programs may clash together, particularly CUHK, you may need to split to attend targeted program briefings, like my son and I attended GB, my wife needed to attend QFin in the lecture theatre next door simultaneously.
