而生活費, 我仔仔住在私人辦的宿舍, 現在每月宿費S$1150 (3-4人一房), 包膳食和洗熨.  其餘再加零用錢/車費/補習費之類.. 這些花費因人而異..  我仔仔平均每月一萬左右(中學生)

澳洲留學我沒經驗, 兩地生活水準跟環境大不同... 你不如跟小朋友也一起商量一下吧

Hi Coni & all,

I have two children, 6 & 7 yrs currently in P1 & P2.  We are planning to move to Singapore by this summer.  We are not sure how to choose the right school for them.  Do we need to pick a school based on where we live?  But we don't have an address in Singapore yet.  I would like to consider the local schools instead of the international ones.  Kindly share any thoughts/ideas that I can do at this stage.   Thanks & appreiciate!

如果你不是SG的PR, 那小朋友就是international students, 入讀小一學生可以直接contact 心儀的學校, 讀小二開始要考統一入學試 AEIS (詳情): http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/international-students/admissions-exercise/#dates

新加坡小學是一月開始新學期的, 而AEIS在七月開始報名, 考試後由教育部統一派位, 我估計應該是按報住地址派區內的學校, 如果你想小朋友入讀那一區, 可以考慮一下先租住那區的房子或借朋友的住址報名, 但也要考慮之後小朋友上學的車程. 建議你找個假期過去sg 看一看心儀的學校環境

We are planning a trip there around March.  Do you have any idea on the areas/districts that have better primary schools?  It'll help to identify the districts and schools that we should focus on for this upcoming trip.

以下是2008年PSLE(小學離校試)的官方資料, 你可以從top students 所讀的學校中大約看到那些是top schools, 可是top school 也代表不容易有位.

在criteria search function裏, school type 如果你選 "SAP", 出來的學校都應該是名校. 你先參考看看
