My first question to you, are you targeting LS or IS?

If you go for Anfield, most likely you cannot switch back to LS even though they have K3 to support students who wishes to go to LS.  But it would be tough for your kid especially Anfield is not those knows as strong in Chinese.

Think is like York, St. Cat., Learning Habit but Think is not as famous as they are.
But still should be a good school (I have a friend’s daughter studying there, she is pretty happy and her target is Think Primary).
If you go for Think, you would have a better chance for 直資/私小.
I don’t see a lot of Think KG students can go to other IS Primary (e.g. ESF).

These two schools are quite different, the simple question for you to decide is LS or IS.

People don’t talk about Think here because it’s more a local international school, just like you said like York, St. Cat. which there are a lot of discussion in the LS forum.

i am actually targeting IS, but what i am afraid here is if i can't get in to any IS primary after kinder, i will have to go back to LS.

When you say local International school, I suppose you refer to the 4 branches of Think International Kindergarten.  I don't see Think International School (the primary school) as a "local international school".   Sometimes it's confusing...

It’s my perception that Think is more local because it does not take you to international primary/secondary school.
If you check their
Secondary School Admission Result for their primary school, 75% for Local secondary school.
KG is even worst, only 15% had offers to IS primary.

To me it’s quite clear, Think, Learning Habit, St. Cat., York those are the “local” international.
I am not saying they are not good, St. Cat is a very good school, a lot of parents admire to get in., but you can see many of the kids graduated there goes to the top
直資/私小 following local HK education system.
Not many would end up going to IS.
That’s how I see it and classified them.

For my son, I am not applying any of the “local” international, no offense, it’s just not what I want.

Just bear in mind that going to Think would have less chance going to IS.
What my believes is to train my son to speak fluent English then he would have no problem going to IS primary.

Good luck and do think twice of what you really want.

Think kg has different combination of classes which attracts parents with different pri sch plan for their kids. To me, 15% of their graduates go to IS is a reasonable proportion.  There is only one international class in k1 and k2 every year. However, I agree to the point that english speaking proficiency is not as promising as other kg catering real native eng students. But they are still far better than the local streams. Think students are generally happy and motivated learners and their project learning is a wonderful curriculum.

Hope mom and dad can find the best fit ach for their children! So as me ! :p

Their website did not solely show Secondary School admission result as the number of graduates were far below the total.   Anyway, is a school be determined as international school or local school by students' choices of schools?

Think's PYP programme is accredited by International Baccalaureate since June 2013.

Neither do I.   Anyway, I don't think that being an international school or not is a big deal.   I agree with you that going to a suitable school is more important.

Think is just officially accreditated as IB school last year. I guess there will be changes in the coming years in terms of resources and also the school placement of their graduates. In their open house in late september, the chief principal claimed that they are having plan to connect with another new IB sec sch in sai kung. Btw, on edb list, think is an international school.
