我亞仔現在5歲2個月, 我之前無想過同佢做資優TEST, 自己覺得佢係咪資優, 都可以成才－  佢３歲前已經認得Ａ－Ｚ，　很多中，英文字，　家中３０幾人見面佢已經可叫曬佢地個名及各人的關係。　４歲識打麻將，　由細到大出街鍾意兩頭睇，　方向感強，問位置，見到Ｄ街道名，店名，去食野一定要睇餐單，　要你講比佢聽，而且佢好快會記得。同佢去過嘅地方佢吾會忘記，去過嘅食店，坐過嘅位置佢都記得。　佢好鍾意講野，但吾係胡亂講，　比較鍾意同大人傾計，　佢都同Ｄ小朋友玩，不過當Ｄ小朋友吾遵守紀律時，佢都會發忟憎吾同佢地玩。　

但由於以下理由正考慮, 同佢做:
帶佢去不同嘅learning center學MATHS及英文, d老師不約而且都讚佢好ＳＭＡＲＴ，　記憶特別好。　提議帶佢做資優ＴＥＳＴ。
學校老師課堂出數學題，只有佢全部識答，而且答對。　老師叫佢吾好答，留Ｄ機會比其他同學仔。
佢９月要選小一了，　如果做了ＴＥＳＴ，佢真係資優，對佢敲門搵學校會吾會有幫助呢？

講真，做完個ＴＥＳＴ，如果佢吾係資優，我都吾會ＤＩＳＡＰＰＯＩＮＴＥＤ，因為生活健康快樂才是最重要，我只係想知道呢個ＴＥＳＴ對搵學校有無幫助，搵出亞仔嘅優點，點樣因才施教。　請問有邊間中心係比較可靠同收費比較合理呢？

呢個年代好多小朋友都訓練有數,大部份都好醒,其實太細做一來唔多準,學校未必認同6歲以下所做既資優測試,如果你覺得自己小朋友好叻既不如升小一後再睇下學業成績是否超越其他同學才算,如果到時成績標榜既,去乜學校都收啦.

I believe it does help.
If he is gifted, which school will you try?
Parents here may know which one is good for gifted boy.

Both SPCCPS and DBSPD are top schools.

But why these two for gifted education?

有名校知道係資優唔收的, 因為資優既小朋友好多行為問題, 不守規矩, 令課堂混亂, 所以份報告是否有用, 你早d打探下學校鐘唔鐘意收呢d學生先喇, 否則反而累事....

邊D會因為有呢份REPORT而唔收, 只係朋友話我知, 好似響九龍既, 但以我所知高主教有跟教處果套資優課程提供俾學生, 你可以上教處網同高主教網睇下資料.. 我唔知有冇記錯...

搵到條link, 你睇下幫唔幫到你啦, 但名校有參與計劃並唔代表佢真係好welcome資優學生, 反正佢收得既都係fit馬, 未必真係好想收個攪攪陣既資優生, 相反普通既學校佢地要爭成績, 可能會積極d, 呢d都係我個人推想咋...

我自己幫阿仔選校就冇考慮呢樣, 因為我都係佢小2先知....

Gifted kids have different behaviours, not necessary poor class discipline, some may be very quiet or emotional issues..........
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Thanks a lot Octopusma!   Your link is very informative.

Your analysis of schools' view towards admitting gifted children having behavioural issue is logical.  I believe student behaviour is really a concern of many schools.

I am wondering, for those schools which are reluctant to admit gifted children, would they try to obseve the kid's behaviour during interview to see if it is acceptable, or would they simply decline admission upon knowing the kid is gifted regardless of the interview?

Is there any possibility for exception if a child has special strength (e.g. mastering P2/P3 maths, etc.)?

The report is no use for entering the famous school!!!
My son did the test at about 5.3 years old.
We attached the report in P.1 interview.
Finally, the result is one accepted and one waiting. (The two I haven't attched the report.)
At the very beginning, my friends advised me to attahed the report. Surprisinly, no any offers even my son have an excellent performance during the interview. I haven't noticed that may be the report arouse the problem. So I haven't attached the report in the next interviews. Finally, one accepted and one waiting within two school. I was so regret to attached the report!!!

In short, DON"T attached any GIFTED REPORT!!!
