Thank you for your information. Is your child studying at SC? If yes, What kind of snack do you prepare for your child? Bread, cake, cookie?? Is you child happy studying at SC?

mine doesn't like bread. So i prepare:
-seaweed
-cookies
-fruit (if grapes, in k1, need to cut in half as requested by school to avoid choking). Don't choose those that are too watery or it would be too messy; some children bring a whole small apple.
-Egg (but need to cut in smaller pieces, even for quail egg; it is required by the school to avoid choking.
-as a treat, sometimes a few pieces of chips! but very rare. I know a lot of kids eat junk food though (based on what my kid told me!)

School requested not to bring hard candies.

Yes, my kid likes SC, but my kid is very adaptive to all types of environment! SC is a good school, but do not expect that it is very loving and caring, because the school has just too many students!

My son will go to this KG this Sep.  Where do u buy school uniform for your kid?  SC has provided two namecards for our selection (長沙灣 & 尖沙咀), and I've received other namecards from outside leaflet.  Could u pls share your thoughts in terms of money & quality?

When is the good timing to buy it (e.g. Apr/May)?

About uniform, I tried all three (because I got some old ones from friends).
Just my thoughts: the one from Tokwawan is best although they are not listed officially (and that store only sell SC uniforms, I don't know how they can survive!), follow by the one at TST. I do not like those from Cheung Sha Wan, because for the red sports uniform's neck area, the color comes off.
I think their price is similar. But you should check the older posts for other parents' comments on the price/quality.

You call them ahead and see when they would be available. I think earliest is mid July. Late August would be too late and some sizes would be unavailable.

my husband likes loving and caring kinder, so he doesn't like SC. However, SC is really good school as it provides a good foundation for primary school. It's tough choice!!

Same situation as you - i like loving & caring kinder too!!! I'm very headache now as my girl got the am offer from SC. I'm afraid that i will regret if we give up the offer.

Love 同care唔係睇學校，係睇老師。我大女之前讀sc，個老師好到不得了，只係無返一日，翠日早上即call我問出了何事又同小朋友傾計，呢d就係love & care. 細女入左間一條龍kg,出名有愛心，但小女無返三日學，老師無打來問題，但我唔會怪佢，因為唔係佢份內事情。所以唔好咁乎淺已為細校就care, love&care 係睇自己luck撞唔撞到好老師，同大細校無關

Why you think that SC is not a love and care school?  My daughter loves to go to school a lot as she likes the teacher very much.  Also, the teacher called me if my daughter did not go to school for 2 days.  She also called me when she has any questions on my daughter's behaviour.  The class teacher is very good.  Of course, I don't know if every teacher is the same in SC.

Let me clarify: I need to say that not all the teachers are the same within the same school. It happens to big schools and small schools. Just like when you go into a chain store, the level of service from different shopkeepers from the same chain store may not be the same. This is not the best analogy, but I hope you see my point.

It's just that my kid's experience with K1 is not positive in some instances, but I am not blaming the teacher at all. I'd rather say that it's just a mismatch in expectation.

And according to what I understand, the teachers are asked by the school to call the absent students to ensure that they are alright. In some cases, they must call the parents if the parents did not specify if the kids have fever (if they are sick), or, if they did not specify the nature of their absence (事假 or 病假).

And SC is a good school overall!
