Just realize I was so sick (I was having fever in the afternoon) and didn't really answer some of the questions you asked originally.

(1) SH is not guarantee but they will try to accept all if possible.

(2) both primary and secondary are band 1 (meaning with over 50% band 1 students).  I assume SH's secondary should be consider better than PC on public exams.

For your further query, PC and SHCK both don't guarantee the younger siblings to be admitted.  I dunno about PC's case but if the young ones can be at least in the waiting list of SHCK, then they should have some preferences on them.

For those SHCK students who will head elsewhere, normally is because they get lucky thru discretionary places or central allocation and got seats from schools like Marymount, St. Mary's, etc.  A few may head to St. Paul's Co-ed, DGJS, or other DSS schools.  Of course, many of them instead of going to private section, will go to the pm gov't aided section, particularly for those with younger sisters.

No need for interviews and the seats for SHCK students and outsiders are separated.

I am sorry but I really have no information on this perspective.  I guess it is a bit difficult to ask a primary school what criteria they would use to select students since they should have their own method.

Hi ccicq,

Actually this situation only happens this current year, as there are 240 SHCK K3 students where there are only just around 100-120 seats for the private section.  Normally the problem won't arise as normally we only have 180 students and part of them will aim for the gov't aided (pm) primary school thru discretionary places + central allocation.  Of course, there are also some students which will go elsewhere.  If that's the case, then there are no such issues in the past as really, not everyone aim for private section only.

Just a note, SHCK, SHCSPS and SHCS are all under different administration.  So basically they are different schools.  So unlike True Light, St. Clare's or Pui Ching, which their kindergarten is associated the primary school's administration, same issues occur for kindergartens like SHCK and SPK that the admissions to P1 cannot be guaranteed.

At the moment, since result of central allocation is not yet released (in June), for those who still haven't got the offer will have to wait for the result to come out and re-shuffle the seats everyone have in hands.  Hopefully if more SHCK students can get their seats from SHCS thru central allocation or door knocking, then all the remaining ones can be offered.  Also, some of them may get seats from other good primary schools too and seats can be released.

This is what I can share.

Oh when I said this current year, I meant the current K3 students.  For the coming year K1, I forsee the private section will have one more classroom vacant by that time so they may have the flexibility to open one more class (subject to their management's decision, of course).  If that really happen, then we are talking about 4 classes in private section which can take at max 150-160 students.  Still a bit far from the total 240 of kinder students.  But basing on this year's experience, seems this number can already satisify the need from most of the kindergarten girls who wanna aim for private section.

Concerning the other post I made last year, the selection process was only to ask each students to submit a 3-pages profile.  However, what exactly they are looking for from the profile, we still have no ideas.

For the gov't aided section, SHCK students would have preference during door knocking stage (that's all I can say, legally).

the nanny bus is for Kln side <--> SH, not for PC woh....(PC has school bus route to my place)....do u still need the contact ?

Yes, please let me have the contact.  I want any nanny buses that travel between western district to Kln side (so that I can request these nanny buses to introduce other operators for me).  Thank you so much.
