I think Mamimia refered to the JMC as there would not be such questions if they finished this course.
Mamimia,
You have to ask yourself and the child, whether you enjoy the class. Different people have different preference. Music may not be the cjoice for everyone. Concerning going to the course, some people send the fathers. My brother-in-law is the one to go with his son and now they are with the BK 4. We all discovered that he likes music. Some people will employ a teacher(piano) to help the child practising.
So ask your son whether he likes going there. If he says yes, explain to him the responsibility of practising. When my daughter was in the course, I had to scold her as well and she might cry sometimes but everytime, she would tell me that she wanted to continue.
I am a working mum as well. Try to arrange your time and accomapny the child. This was one of the reason why my daughter wanted to continue. Enjoy the classes together. As long as the child can follow the main progress, the rest is not important. Pls don't compare your child's performance with the others. Interest course is for enjoyment.
Now I am "repeating" the course with the younger kid. I realize/ understand more about this course and I really appreciate it. If time allowed, I would enroll the 2 kids into JXC together, later when the younger kid finish the JMC.
You know your kid and you understand whether he enjoys music. |
