if one wz piority is on waiting list after passing the interview, does it mean none of non piority canidates can get a gauranteed spot in that particular esf school? is it how the piority works?

Fatty dad, seems she refused to accept her son was successful in the interview , she rather preferred to blame her son and hubby!
I understand her frustration but this is only a primary spot but not life and death.  We parents should be mature and manage our emotion well.  Still a long way to go, with poor emotion, your son and your whole family would suffer once this mum using the same attitude in face of adversity.

Totally agree with you Saboc. I under the frustration really to be placed on wait list but we all have to be rational as parents and understand that this is just a game and there's really nothing we can do about it except to accept the rules and the outcomes for us to take our next step. It will only hurt your family and your relationship with them by blaming it on your son (whom is brilliant in my view to have passed the interview) and your husband, whom have tried their best but have no control over this matter. Don't get too work up on it. It's ok to be frustrated and vent for a day or two but do pick yourself up and plan your next step. Hug your son if you can and tell him you're proud of him.

Does it matter u get the offer in first round or second round? I am sure you will get the offer by the end, it may just take a few more months. I have been through in the same situation and I can say the matter is only IF you can get a spot at the end... even after the school year has began. it is not about the ability of your son, is about your luck.....

when they have offer, they will give up other.

Stop blaming anyone in your family. This primary admission is basically 80% of your luck. Trust me, it's  just a matter of time. I have gone through exactly the same situation last year with my elder son.

This year, my younger has 2 offers and for sure I will give up 1 offer before Feb 24.

Agree! It is LOVE that matters...parents are upset because we all love our kids and want them to be in good school! Stop the blames and stay positive...it's just a matter of time for the placement

We are on HK island.  We just applied QBS and KCIS, but heard no good news so far.  If this is the case, we are getting ready to enter a local primary after K3.

I thought parents chose IS instead of LS for their children because they didn't want to put so much pressure on them. It is surprising to see a mom gets so upset and uses mean words on her son who did nothing wrong.

im 858 papa, let me say some words here, in fact, little 858 had been interviewed by 5 ISs last month and 4 results have been released.  he got pass all 4 interviews.  1 non esf IS placement has been confirmed and 3 esf waiting list placement.  he is brilliant.  insulting me and little 858 doesnt help the present situation.  he got on the waiting list is not his fault, he did passed all interviews

This is The reply from RC to against parents superstition about luck and random number  

.....The total number of children who passed the assessment in January is much larger than that.  The priority applicants (siblings + NRs) already took half of the seats and the rest of it goes to those who demonstrated the best readiness during the interview.

See? Best ones were chosen in 1st round.

My daughter is in the reserved list and failed the interview.  ESF rejects her right away.  Is it normal that ESF do not offer second interview to the kids on reserved list?  I see someone getting second interview if they didn't do well on the first one.
