May I know if u have any worry on its ib results? Though people keep on saying its the first year and few students, I'm still very struggling. Very frighten making the wrong choice for the kid. Am very uncomfortable knowing they have only one and a half year to prepare ib while some schools spend three Years.

I think the time is not the key. IBDP itself is a 2 year programme. Most ESF schools are the same as CKY, i.e. GSCE + IBDP (2 years). For schools running MYP, their DP is 2 year as well. For schools with both DSE and IBDP (e.g. DBS and SPCC), all secondary students attend the same course in the first 3 years, and for the one who choose IB they will have one year pre-IB to get students familiarise with the IB approach and then the IBDP (2 years).

A friend told me some time ago that CKY's primary and secondary is IB approach (though not IB authorised), and all students are trained the IB way. Is this still the case?

Due to CKY's IB result, it really shakes my years of faith in it. What if after 12 years of happy school life, my kid is unable to enter into university, no matter how presentable he / she is. I'm now waiting for its ICGSE result, which is suppose to be next week....

I'm actually not worried at all about the first year IB result. I think CKY lost a lot of good students after Grade 10 to Li Po Chun or other IBDP schools with longer history since CKY has no track record yet. The calibre of the students entering Y1 are much stronger than before! So I still have faith in the school!

According to Principal Lau's speech at the secondary school's end of year assembly, she said the IB results of this year's students cannot represent the overall standard. All the 14 graduates have got into their 心儀大學, half of them will go overseas and the other half will stay in Hong Kong. Hope this can give more info to new P1 parents!

還有兩個多星期便開學，請問除了樂器班外，有沒有家長收到有關開學的通告，包括8月31日有沒有orientation等等？（嚴格來講，我連9月2日開學也只是想當然而已）
我很認同學校的教學理念，但其行政真的有點不敢恭維。

想請問下大家開學準備請況
- 上個星期致電校車公司問update, 佢地話今個星期會聯絡家長. 請問大家收到校車電話未呀?
- 於新生家長會訂咗校服, 請問收到校服公司通知取校服未呢?
- 另外, 我可能miss咗. 請問返學放學時間如何 (唔計撘校車)?
- 知唔知閒日同星期六有冇課外活動? 如有, 通常係咪好似樂器班咁九月下旬開始?

就黎開學, 好似好多野都未ready, 好緊張添

校服是自行到校服公司取的，相信很多學生已取了，快點取吧，下星期六要穿的。另上下課時間：返8:30，放3:25pm，星期三放2:00pm.

無收過校車公司電話....應該會有校車掛....
校服已到校服公司領取.
星期六早上係有自費課外活動學, 在讀家長報料係十月開始.
閒日放學一般無課外活動學.

有家長打電話到學校問, 學校話31/8早上新生要著校服返學.
大家打算著咩色校服?? 我女話鍾意白色果件多d喎.

另外完全唔知要準備咩文具, 要買咩美勞工具? 午餐又未有訂餐資料.
唔知係唔係31/8取書? 又幾時開始有游泳課? .......
真係好多問題想問呀.

更正: 小學放學時間應是3:40pm!
美勞用品開學後上堂時老師會講, 特別要用o既folder/文具, 相信首日回校老師亦會告知! 大家不用擔心!
游泳課每個學期一次, 每次6-8堂, 所以冇咁快上, 會有通告!

閒日放學後也有課外活動，有些是在早上七時許上課前。包括各個樂隊、合唱隊、球隊、泳隊，小一生很少會參加這些課外活動，所以暫時不用理會。

餐單的選擇都不錯，睇落都幾好味。以前為佢一日三餐好傷腦筋，依家可以解決一餐，亞媽最開心。希望真係好食，最後唔洗搞到要帶飯，到時又煩死我。平日照顧得太周到水果都是切好的，開學前要練習下點吃原個水果。
