i think DGJS vs SPC should not be only decided on academic level but also the spirit of being st paulian. Most of the kids are from SPK/SPN/SPCN which they enjoy school life very much. Considering academic level, i don't think there is much difference between the 2 schools, maybe just 1A vs 1B/1C. We should try to find the most suitable school, though may be not the best, to our kids.
If i were luckily given the chance, I would choose SPC for my girl and would decline DGJS offer.

No doubt that I think DGS will be better academically but there is also a trade-off between happy school life and academic result, it all depends which seems to be more important to you, no doubt that they both are good schools!

每年 SPK都有好多學生考到 DGJS，近年上到中學呢批家長都開始想返轉頭讀
SPC。而呢幾年亦少咗好多學生由 SPC 轉到DGJS或其他國際學校。因為 SPC由中二開始選科，中四考IGCSE，很多以前初中送小朋友到外國那一批家長，現在都會等考完 IGCSE先走。 SPC比多一條路比家長揀。如果你想小朋友中學到外國讀書，讀SPC可以遲幾年，慳幾年錢。以 SPC 一個月學費 HK$2,500而 IGCSE可以考到 4.3 A*，真是物超所值。

但由而家到你小朋友上中學都有好多年，可能到時又變，又改。如果揀校舍一定是 DGS，又新、又大、又靚。

1.因為 DGS 考 HKDSE 一試定生死。
2. SPC近年幫到班尖子用IGCSE提早入大學
3.
好多DGS學生甚本上初中都計劃到外國讀書，考完IGCSE先過會比較好。

除了 SPC近年有辦 IB同IGCSE的學校都比較多人轉讀，因為HKDSE 始終新，無以往成績，認受成是一個謎。所以呢個情况要過幾年先明朗。對中學家長當然希望買多一個保險。過幾年明朗後，大家想法可能唔一樣，不用咁辛苦考 IGCSE。

還有一點，DGS 同 SPC都有好多多國藉人士
讀，通識科某一些 topic對班 mix 其實是幾難，唔易取高分。呢班人考IGCSE比較安全。

請問各位, 如果外校生想考St Paul convent是否很難?
我見其它POST說每年都有小朋友TAKE左DGJS或有津校收了, 空出來的位會先給 SPK / SPN WAITING還是叻的外校生?咁要點樣的外校生先有機會?請賜敎. 謝 !

Really? I thought the public exam results of SPCS are way better than those of SPSS.

If you go to the web site of both schools, you'll find that the public exam result of St. Paul Convention is much better than St. Paul Secondary School.
