But 1 thing I like better about the "old" site is,
I can find ALL the circulars very easily.
(Not all circulars appear in the e-class - past circulars now)
so it is v difficult to retrieve some info if and when I forget the details.

同意, 跟開功課的人, 會明白課程, 教小朋友時會比較針對性, 小朋友容易吸收明白. 所以好多時有些爸爸們即使擁有PHD的學歷都好, 幫孩子溫書就比不上媽媽們.

你仔仔亦只是不能坐定定那種小孩. 你亦不必太憂心. 記得以前有篇報導關於一位小朋友,多動,上課又不專心, 常被老師投訴, 彼來CHECK出是資優. 他爸爸開始一方面同小朋友一起學習尋找小朋友有興趣主題的答案, ,另一方面認為是小朋友精力過甚, 開始訓練小朋友運動, 用跳繩的方法去消耗小朋友多餘的精力. 這小朋友後來不再多動, 而且好像脫胎換骨似的.

雖然情況可能同你小朋友不一樣, 但希望你從中可以得到一些啟發!

I agree with TINGMUM’s comments.

A university professor with a PhD does not necessarily mean that he/she can do revision with his/her children in a more superior way.
I think good marks in tests and examinations are not the most important thing.

To me, tests and examinations are only something which is for our children to advance gradually from primary to secondary and then to tertiary education.
More importantly, our children should know how to find knowledge from books or dictionaries or on internet with their own initiatives.

Actually, dictionary is a very good tool.
Although some parents may not want their children to look up words in dictionaries so often, I do have a different view.
For example, a very simple verb like “watch” can have several meanings in different context.

If we cannot think of a good Christmas present for some young boys and girls, dictionary may be something that we can consider.

The overall comment on the new school website is good.

But the photos of activities in the past academic year (i.e. 2007-08) disappeared.
It will be better if these photos can still be seen on the website now as they are not too old.

Bluestar,

If we follow the instructions on how to view the school circulars in e-class, we will be directed to the same page which we should be able to see all school circulars of this academic year.
Can you try once again?

Or is the issue caused by the internet browser problem?

Tks ah, I found the circulars la.
(This moring I just went to e-class ==> e-circulars and tried to retrieve from ALL).

In the old website, photos for functions were there for a few years back too, not only 2007-08 ga woh ! All gone now ?

The old photos from 2004-2006 were already taken away in September when the new school term started.

Now, even the photos for 2007-2008 were taken away either.

Not so good as we cannot even recall some of the unforgettable memories of the last academic year!!!

剛上過school website, 入e-class才去到school circulars的安排比以前更妥善! x'mas就快到, 轉website畫面很有新鮮感呢! 小朋友正在倒數school party day,我亦感受到他們洋溢著的歡樂氣氛.

不要笑我心急,最近我開始同個女去家附近的某幾間直資中學聽講座和觀校, 不知是否我太奄尖, 總之不是我杯茶! 所以我同個囡講而家有咁好的學習環境, 咁好的老師校園, 要好好珍惜! 比佢親身去感受下果然湊效, 這兩日她好有鬥心, 放學後主動做她最怕的中文閱讀理解, 她說希望成績好d升中時可以有多些選擇! 真有些"老來安慰"的感覺!:loveliness:

Yes, a higher level of privacy can be ensured now because only current TSL parents can get access to the school circulars in e-class..

S1 talks so early??

Anyhow, there is no harm to collect information earlier.
My feeling is that we should have a bit more choice in the selection of secondary schools in the next 2-3 years as selecting school from a wider geographical area should be the trend.

And I believe I can get some advice from you!!

If you go to the "School Events" in the school website now, you can see that the photos of 2007-2008 will be posted again (i.e. pending) soon.

前日我俾阿女嚇親,佢話中文卷二30分WOR,我眼都突埋,我叫佢第二日問清楚先,跟住第二日番黎話係聆聽30分JEI~~真係俾佢嚇到我呀,成晚都訓唔到,即刻諗係咪我教錯佢野~~原來卷二實際就調番轉,唔係最差,而係最好先真,全班佢最高分WOR,真係冇白費我既心機,好安慰~~因上次測驗卷二未如理想,我就着重佢既弱點同佢溫,果然有效~~
反之中默諗住之前佢都默過哂,應該冇咩問題,稍一鬆懈,就衰左啦!!:;pppp:
ENG PROJECT佢都麻麻地,因佢唔夠時間做,有一頁冇做,冇左12分,仲要係事後問番佢,佢係識哂GA,真係超唔抵,已經同佢講左叩佢唔好畫COVER住,做哂先,點知真係衰左~~咁我同佢講,今次知自己因為咩唔夠時間,咁下次唔好再係咁就得~~
其實D小朋友都會因佢地考得唔好而唔開心的~~所以我地做父母既如果當時好嬲既,就自己冷靜下先,唔好發火,事後同佢一齊檢討賽果,下次成績就會有進步~~咁先係有效既方法~~又唔會損害大家既感情~~
今次CHRISTMAS PARTY你地會去嗎,我請左假陪佢呀~~佢就開心啦,19號就佢學校PARTY,20號就我公司PARTY,我公司年年都會搞,好多小朋友去呢,又有禮物收TIM!!!
祝大家都有個愉快既聖誕假期!!!

亞仔到以家都蒙查查, 成日話自己唔記得d分數. 叫我1月2 日返學校見家長就知. 相反婥蔚可以話你聽考成點, 己好叻女.

我地星期五出發去x'mas holiday 呀! 兩個小朋友唔肯去,亞囡怨我扼殺了她的表演機會, 亞仔又話學校第一次開x'mas party好好玩, 想玩完才去. 下一年真係要問清楚佢地才決定.

Congratulations on your daughter's excellent result.
It's lucky that my son's result is not too bad, so far, all 90+ if converted into 100 full mark. He got the highest mark in the class for the English project and the Chinese listening. While comparatively the worst is the Chinese Paper II which he also did not do it so well in the test.
So, I would like to consult you more tips how to pinpoint the weakness (I have given quite a bit of Chinese ex. for him to do).
Anyhow let's see what are his mistakes after looking at the paper.

I wish to join the X'mas party but unfortunately there will be an important audio that I need to join. We'll stay in HK for the X'mas and if anyone has good idea for place to visit. Let's share.

One more thing, if your kid received the Eng. homework for the X'mas - the Book Nuts and the Penguin story? I wonder if he is creative enough and has the English competency strong enough to finish it. Does it expect a lot of parent help/guidance???

Anyhow, wish everyone have a wonderful and enjoyable X'mas and Chinese New Year!
