我認同富有人家有大量資料栽培小朋友, 個小朋友被教得好所以面試表現好, 表現好所以被取錄。 並不是因為地 ...

據妳所講，都係有資源既人機會大，有資源通常都有$。有$人唔住山頂都住半山，渣甸山，紅山 九肚山。那樣說似符對考唔到𠆤4千幾人有點那些。是否佢地教唔好，或者唔夠子彈或資源?栽培小朋友不一定要富有，最重要是父母有否用心用時間去做去教。課餘activity只係一𠆤附助。

校長就是這樣費心！當年還是李校長見我們，還不用交住址證明，我們住九龍區普通屋苑，李校長開始已問我們住九龍區小朋友返學長車程會很辛苦，我回答我在香港島工作可順便早上自己駕車送小朋友回校才上班，放學就坐校車。再不是我們可考慮搬屋，李校長立刻回答不是不是，我不是這意思......，我覺得學校認為全香港每區也有好學校，毋須為了小朋友入讀某一學校而作大改變。

hophopbunny  補得咁勁都係讀幅學士，即唔係樣樣用錢可以堆切  

我這個case,家長是在小朋友15/16歲才發跡,小時候未有資源,只是住荃灣.如果由細補到大(我意思是有質素的師資,不是一般讀緊預科/大學的幫你補).應該唔會讀副學士.但未必等於讀到好大學.
一般來說,train up 細的,效果會好好.但到中學就唔係.

What is your qualification?  I know quite a few HKU graduate with LLB only charging for $400.  You could have overcharged a bit.

Well, then their charge is really under the market. A primary teacher can charge as high as $400 per hour six to seven years ago. What i can tell Is i am not Phd:)

It will help if it is for the school's better understanding of your child's background instead of showing off his/her achievements.

Some of our classmates just minimize the size of many certs as porfolio. I don't think the school needs that. Winners in Kinder do not mean they are winners in Primary. I know quite a lot of parents just pay for easy competitions for certs and trophies.

Instead, my friend and me both write about our family background, how we arrange and plan for our child's learning and briefly mentioned some large competitions, plus photos shownig her happy face during activities.

大家有否留意coed的報名表格,只需填寫父母職業及公司地址,不用填寫父母職位及公司名,如果校方真的要找大公司高職位父母的小朋友入讀,理應需要填寫,但沒有。coed並不是外界所說的貴族學校。

我好奇我小朋友interview 時為什麼老師問佢乘什麼交通工具嚟, 住在那裏呢?

有個aunty話我知, 佢個仔填表時有問個小朋友曾遊歷的國家. 因我不是直接同個家長對話, 所以未能求證. 但我又沒有印象張form上有問此類問題. 大家有冇填過? 一或只是2nd in 才要填 (那個小朋友是有2nd in 的). 這個問題純粹出於好奇沒有其他意思 (亦有可能我個aunty 年紀大記錯了).

Maybe we just have to be relax about application to Co-ed.  From outset, it isn't for everyone.  For ones who succeed, congratulations; for those who can't make it, it is not the end of the world.  Co-ed has every right to choose it own candidates, just like we can choose whatever fish when we buy it at fish mongers.  No big deal!  It is important that we as parents don't lose confidence during this type of games.  If we do, we are treating our kids as being inferior.  They are only a few years old, isn't it too cruel for them.  Let's celebrate after the application things are over, no matter what is the result as we all have given our best.
