請問聖心私小收唔收得唒聖心幼稚園生？會唔會好似德望嗰邊收唔唒喊唒口

聖心私小係收唔晒所有幼稚園生，但有好多自行或抽到聖心津小的會放棄私立部。如果想100%guarantee上小學，就應該揀真光or St. Clare's.

It depends on what type of primary schools you are looking for.  If local primary school, then definitely dragon schools.  If international schools, then Victoria will be better.

Any idea - teaching method, teachers, syllabus....etc,.?

I'm not sure about St. Clare's.  St. Clare's is another good traditional school, and its teaching method should be a traditional one as well.  

In fact, the teaching method of SH is 活動教學.  The teaching method is quite active and not necessary to sit still most of the time.  It has been changed a lot as compared to my old days

其實見維記除升自己小學，見好多都入到好的名校如Marymount, St Paul....就算入不到這些都入番聖心、true light, st Clare..所以感覺好像博的過....但又怕到是考不到...倆頭唔到岸...個人好like活動教學所以維記好像適合...但想到香港教育制度D小學又係番去傳統形式...咁好似過咗三年之後又咪係要面對現實(如不考慮ib or international school)...
所以真係超苦惱!

I m sure ar . U can refer to their teaching method in their website . In addition , we have been arranged for 觀課 this month, and all lessons are quite active . 學校有個大波波池，差唔多每星期仲有得去波波池玩tim

其實大部分學校嘅教學模式可以從各學校嘅website 搵到，好多嘢唔好剩係靠聽返黎，自己都應該多d資料搜集.

If you will not go for IB or international schools, why go to Victoria?  I see the benefits of Victoria being its Mandarin and English native teachers.  But if you will go to traditional primary schools, all the advantages that you have will not mean much since the child will likely lose their language skills.  If you go to SH or a local kindergarten, their Chinese is probably more advanced and they will be used to doing homework which will be a better preparation.

都吾係，好多讀維記的父母都係target名小或者新派私小，維記往績吾錯，語文和表達能力的訓練都幫到考小一。

我覺得讀維記升IB/IS又得，升傳统学校又得，幾好喎。維記升DSS/私小戰績真是很不錯，唔明點解有啲家長覺得讀維記就只可升國際學校。聽呢度啲家長成曰都話如果有錢梗係送小朋友去讀IS...鬼唔知IS好..但學費太貴負擔唔到，etc. 咁維記有啲傳统又有咱IS嘅特質，但又唔駛交IS嘅學費，唔係幾好咩？！

我都度左好耐，同好多朋友傾過，走過灣路。最后明白，好學校先系重點，吳在IS定LS。
我都有留意IS，但太細就讀，學中文真系拉牛上樹，能兼顧中文的 IS又好少。

How is the Chinese standard of Victoria in K3?  Would it match a dragon school like Sacred Heart or SPK?

維記課程的設計係可以銜接LS小一，其實佢近一、兩年K2、3深左好多，我小朋友K2，我係屋企有就佢興趣一起看書，佢的中英文真係好好。

Do you need to supplement your child with tuition classes?  And are children generally rich at the school?
And do you think their Chinese is as good as ones/equivalent at local kindergartens?  Wanted to know if their handwriting skills good - as heard that they do not write a lot and therefore the words are not written nicely..etc,.

無conclusion，人人想法吾同。
如果有間心水龍校收，好多人會 take the easy way。Why not呢？考小一真係好大壓力。

我當年無報龍校，係因為想train小朋友英文，保留考IS的option。
自己看自己小朋友好好，但競爭真係大呀！

It doesn't sound like you will be going for an IS.  If that is the case, why not take a dragon school?  In this particular instance, I am really not sure what is the advantages of taking Victoria.  You will have a good back-up and can always apply for other LS for P1.
