Many boarding schools let out their campus for summer schools.
If your intention is for your kid to mix with English kids in order to improve his/her English language, then you should think again as most of these summer schools are full of 'foreigners' - Russians, Chinese...etc. Not many local English kids will be sent to summer schools to learn English!!
But if your intention is for your kid to learn independence & to mix with kids of different nationalities as well as seeing if he/she can cope with a boarding school environment, then these summer schools are really worthwhile.
I think Milfield would be a good one as they have fantastic sporting facilities, perfect for a summer camp! |
