kv or hkps (ascot)

最近好唔開心，同老婆兩個為小朋友讀邊間經常爭執，想請教各位可以儘快做個決定。

老婆prefer kv，因為上小學好似有保證d。ascot 又開新校。

我prefer hkps 因為近屋企，同埋教學方式活動d，英文又好d。

其實kv揾小學方面既優勢係唔係大咁多呢。

We encountered the same problem last year and lastly I convinced my hubby to stay HKPS (but Kowloon Tong campus). To choose a school for our kids, we choose to pick the one's teaching style is most fit our objectives and the characters of kids. Whether the school is popular is just for reference. Every school has students with good p1 placement and those with bad results. Most of students got good results doesn't mean we will have the same results. The most important thing is fitting. Maybe you could go back and discuss with your wife patiently what's the expection on your kid and and is your faith in education. Then, you could reach the decision. Remember, daddy and mammy should be consistent. Argument is no good for kids.

Ascot HKPS has opened for several yeas and enjoys v good reputation. I vote for HKPS

唔好意思，可能寫得唔清楚。我指樂基ascot原校。但話會開另一新校，所以唔知會唔會影響原校既質素。

現在你小朋友返學如何？會否覺得要出外補習？我希望小朋友放學後既課外活動係真正既興趣班，而唔係中英數咁。需然係hkps 九龍塘，但都想了解一下。

If KV is am but HKPS is pm, I will vote for am class instead. Try to apply turn to am class (HKPS) in K1. Last year we also have KV am offer and we decided to quit if HKPS cannot allow us change to K1 am. We haven't told school our plan but still able to place in am K1 class successfully, just try.
Re your question of EAC, we haven't attend language one coz we believe the support from school (both Eng and Mandarin) is sufficient. My kids have 3 music-related (originally 2 which have been starting from 2-aged but he requests me long time for piano class and that why we have 3 finally, actually a little bit too much and I plan to cut one soon), 2 exercise related classes. Even we haven't attended academic related class but I have assigned working paper to him. I like the quantity and level of “homework” to be adjusted by myself based on kid's capability and interests rather than controlled by school.

謝謝你的分享。我相信樂基都幾適合我小朋友既性格。問題在於我老婆從其他家長分享中感覺根德園入好既小學機會好似高好多咁。分歧主要係呢點，所以好煩腦。

對，爸爸媽媽要決定一致，其實没最好的學校，只有最合適，決定了便不要回頭望，因你總可以找到後悔的理由（如揀HKPS你會怕佢冇KV教得深，如揀KV最後科科得B考唔到好學校又有壓力），但要明白，父母的栽培才是最重要，村校有考到名小學的孩子，名幼亦有不少全軍覆没的例子。當初老公所有朋友也驚訝我們的决定，我一直也問他有無後悔聽從我，是他告訴我，決定了便一直向前走。好好和太太相量吧！

我仔仔今年讀緊ascot n班，以我所知，剛過去嘅小一派位非常靚仔，所以你可叫你太太唔駛擔心，我覺得樂基仲有一個好處，係小班，n班全級得3班，學生＜100人，所以無論校長、全校嘅老師、書記、嬸嬸都會記得每個小朋友，當佢哋每個都受重視，佢哋就會有愉快嘅幼稚園生活。
最近學校舉辦小一交流分享會，請咗9間小學嘅家長返嚟分享，全部都話樂基小朋友升小一嘅程度絕對無問題。

我仔嗰班英普班就係有個外籍老師，其他班唔清楚！沙田區較多人想入嘅派位學校多數係一呂、沙呂同培基，但聽聞都係多功課，所以好唔好都要睇你點睇！

係呀，因為去interview 唔見有外籍老師，多數係中國人！！
我就唔想太多功課果d,  但唔知個女係適合邊種學習模式，所以都好難決定讀咩小學。。。
你呢，有無決定左讀類型小學？
