For a family with 5 members ( Parents and three kids ) with family income HKD 650,000
Based on HYS fee remission scheme, : http://www.hys.edu.hk/english/feeremissiontable.pdf
This family can get 25% fee remission rate .
P.S. HYS don't use the housing expense on fee remission calculation.
For GHS case, they use both income and housing expense on fee remission calculation.
I have tried this scenario as following :
Annual family income : 650,000 ( monthly income HKD 54.000 )
Monthly Mortgage : 15,000 (I think this mortgage repayment amount is fair enough )
Three kids , with one study on Aided school, one study on DSS school, and one is apply GHS.
Then using GHS website Fee Remission Calculator, this family can get 25% fee remission. Therefore, to be fair, both HYS and GHS offer similar fee remission rate based on same scenario .I raise up this data, my purpose is to give a fair comparison on two school fee remission.
You have the conclusion that they are the same because you MADE them to be the same by adding assumptions like the following:
- Monthly Mortgage : 15,000 (I think this mortgage repayment amount is fair enough )
- Three kids , with one study on Aided school, one study on DSS school, and one is apply GHS
Could you tell us if they are really the same if the above assumptions are removed?
Example 1:
1. Annual family income : 650,000
2. Monthly Mortgage : 15,000
3. Three kids , with one study on Aided school, one study on Govt school, and one is apply GHS
What will be the fee remission in both schools?
Example 2:
1. Annual family income : 650,000
2. Monthly Mortgage : 15,000
3. Two Dependent parent
4. One kid who is applying GHS
What will be the fee remission in both schools?
