Yes, school bus availability is a potential problem. So it is a choice between having an interview now but may need to arrange your own transport, or keep waiting for an interview with the target school but you don't know how much more you need to wait.

The 3 ESF primary schools in HK Island, Bradbury, Glenealy, and Peak School are relatively easier to get in... my transferred from Bradbury to Glenealy easily. These 3 schools also have the biggest international student group, and turnover rate is high. There are a few I know in Glenealy School do not live in the catchment zone but was offered a place. If going to Bradbury or Mid Levels is not too troublesome, you can consider taking the offer and do an internal transfer, which is quicker and easier.
