I have applied the school thinking it would be a school with right balance of English n Chinese n I read threads   criticizing it's English n advised ppl to watch YouTube. I searched n watched n saidly I found the English level is not very satisfactory I may say.

我仔女不是讀 ycis，但這有點睇不過眼。
學校有甚麼不好，直接批評就好了，不用說一些單單打打的話。
口水戰嬴了又如何，有時說話不要太刻薄。

漢基當然係出名，location對hk island既family 係個好的選擇。

現在好d, 上了6個月K1 會講d. 但我舉的YC example is from christmas camps 既 experience.  呢樣野係我同公公都感受到。初初都對YC 無好感但佢既location 又比ESF 的方便，特別是對於老人家。

我女都係讀緊IS kindie, AISHK sat class, YC 興趣班，佢每次上完YC d class 都狂speak english. 反之其他課堂就唔好好肯講

I'm not a YC parent but I don't like the low quality remarks trying to attack a particular school. Parents in the IS forum should show that they are educated, fair and sensible.

無錯，以我所見國內嘅外籍(是指歐美Caucasian而不是亞洲人持外國護照那種)家庭好buy YC，唔系因為追求IB成績，而係真正East meets West嘅氣氛！

其實YC 好處係無debenture. 佢化左係每月學費上，唔駛lump sum 咁俾。佢係run IB system 既。 現在大家注重中文，佢兩語run 得幾好。我女d 興趣班係YC 上，佢d 學校同家長溝通做得好好。真係我報咁多間學校，佢地係好主動聯絡同好informative.  我女都係讀緊IS kindie, AISHK sat class, YC 興趣班，佢每次上完YC d class 都狂speak english. 反之其他課堂就唔好好肯講。而家間IS 都唔易入，YC competiton 都開始大因係國內佢好出名，唔係只國內人，而係外國人都好多。

可能YC在大陸做得越成功，香港家庭越抗拒！這是我的猜測而已！

my daughter applyed yc for year six last October and got an offer call around two month before. We rejected the offer as my girl also had an offer from a esf primary school. yc is always not my cup of tea, but only to buy a水泡 as my husband said yc is a 學店 by collecting some of his colleague s comments.

阿女之前上海YC嘅同學，上個月申請internal transfer到香港YC中學部，一樣無位要waiting。  拒妹妹係上海讀另外一間頗出名嘅私立小學，同時申請香港YC小學部，雖然係sibling，考試一樣唔過，連waiting都無。所以成日有人話YC只要比得起錢，基本上咩人都收，我好懷疑囉！

I am quite astound by not even obtaining an interview at YCIS this year. My boy got offers from all 3 schools he interviewed for, and our family background is not bad. We applied over two years ago as well too, so i still have no idea why my boy didn't even get a chance at it (although YCIS is not one of our top choice so it is actually okay).

I heard rumors that there has been lots of 'donations' from our 'homeland' to this school in recent years. Would that be one of the cause? I do not mean to spread negativity nor do i have 'sour grape' issues, just that i'd like to find out why...
