Most of the doctors have seen way too many ADHD kids and typically, they are quite accurate in their diagnosis.  However, we went and saw 3 doctors.

Doctor in HK - professional but suggested my boy at 6 to start medication right away.  We were kind of turned down by that.  Even though the diagnosis was accurate but judging my boy with only a questionnaire sheet was not what I had in mind.

Doctor A in Taiwan - she said that my boy is ADHD at year-5 but cannot give a diagnosis due to regulations.

Doctor B in Taiwan - she had my son went through a variety of tests (including IQ) and even had him do sleeping tests before gave the diagnosis of ADHD.  It took us more than 6 months but we felt very comfortable.

Medication changed him drastically (in a good way).
