I heard from a cky staff, the average of ib result is 29.x . Will that be too scary ?

When u study the figure carefully, u will find cky result is not that high especially compare with other IS. Just a figure game. Last year cky result isnot outstanding indeed, just PR effect by zooming out that only one pupil perfermance. My view.

Students switch from one school to another one is normal and happen on all schools. This is not a vaild excuse.

I agreed w you. Besides SPCC ,SIS also having their first year in IB, that is not an excuse. Furthermore this is cky 2nd year of IB, i am afraid it has been forgotten by most people. Regarding why cky took IB, i think i can share more. Cky student follow IGCSE during secondary school , but IGCSE does not have upper level , those IGCSE school need to choose either the british GCE or IB as their upper curriculum. For cky, while they apply an extreme end of 活動教學 therefore the british GSE definitely is not feasible for their students. While IB is a new and require creativity , under no other choice thats sounds more reasonable yo be connected with.  As from the v begining, the cky master has mentioned this is a new way she want prove her logic and dream....  trial & error on IB. Now the dream is over.

Think a lot of parents will try to switch to other schools.... Same as someone said earlier.... Not trying to 落井下石，but everyone can foreseen there will be a wave of 逃亡潮 coming....

Agree... But i think the discussion point is.... Cky treat this as a experiment. Students already adopt the leisure schoollife few years.... Difficult for them to fit in other school .

I would say the effect of a nice talk on stage can be unexpectably big. If your kids or yr close friends study there ,you will know the pain.  圖書教學 was first launched in cky and all parents were hungry for that due to pressure free. Other schools also use story book but not storybook only like cky. Can u imagine how kids can learn science /history.... By story books ? Then concluded by a group project ... Which is mostly involved by panic parents. How kids can get knowledge ? Not completely negative but Doubt ! HKTHK mentioned MYP in IB school ... Yes they are inquiry based ... Take CIS and  victoria school as an example. They let study learn from storybook but they also teach kids by their text material w homework and test regularly. Start from victoria kindergarten ,kids do chinese englush writing everyday . Make sentense and short paragraph in k3 although they are a one dragon IBschool. IGCSE is just the name of the curriclum system that school will take at the end, but how to path students to reach the level of the curriculum is the goal and school responisibily from my view. For IGCSE, Lets take SIS as an example , the way they lead the kids is well designed from their topical journey , regular homework and test, teacher check point is v tight and will split out lower performance students for small group teaching on each subject . Once those kids can catch up, then they will join back the normal class. This can avoid the situation of the class dominiated by a few outstanding students. Cky is v subject to parents 'private push after school , that why same gd performance student always at top and same lower performance kids always at the bottom. This also explain why they got the one highest IGSCE score student last year, but actually their IGCSE average score among the rest kids is far gap from that top student. .... The one and only one. All my view .

Yes they are fixable IF they WANT to fix it. First they have to acknowledge that  ...

the excuse of "gd student" switch to other school is invalid. While students switch around is normal and happen in other schools too. The points is cky is not attractive enough for gd student to switch to from other schools.

You are right , as long as i know some prestige schools do "import" great performer from upper level for examination score purpose by " scholarship " ie GSIS is true cases i knew etc. Actually it is v easy to figure out , some schools got policy written that they dont accept transfer in for Sx or IBDP level.

I am referring to GSIS +scholarship wor... But i havent share the 2nd part. ....that students switch back to his old school after few months. His parents share due to the study atomosphere issue.
