之前 EK 爬文唔少網友分享加拿私立寄宿中學好貴, 同英國寄宿學校價錢不相伯仲 (要加幣~6萬一年即係~36萬港幣) .

真係要好花心機時間去搵。我之前主要睇ontario, 因佢天氣都算唔錯。如果考慮saskatchewan或者alberta這些較北的省份，我自己擔心小朋友夠唔夠tough(可能係多慮嘅), 我見沙省有半年係會落雪，諗起都驚。

我最最最最擔心係 homestay 及治安, 始終我嗰個係女, 真係好唔放心 homestay.

天氣, 如果住宿舍會係學校附近(on campus) 我就無咁擔心. 反而 homestay 冰天雪地行路或等/搭車返學我仲心痛及擔心. 另外,  homestay 嘅 lunch 唔知係咪俾三文治之類帶返學, 學校 hot lunch 唔知係咪又係只得一日, 驚阿女唔夠食, 天氣凍食唔飽身體又會唔夠暖.... 我好多野諗及擔心

你又 Alberta 又 Saskachewan ，有冇親友在當地？Toronto 附近兩三小時的 Town (eg London, Kingston, Hamilton etc) ，有些香港人也唔慣呀。
始終加拿大冬天又灰又凍，除非住在大城市，否則真係可以好靜，有家人在身邊還好，如果自己一個，可能唔開心。香港人，始終未必慣太靜。

記得你提過阿女最想到加拿大讀書，但calgary嘅環境和生活係咪佢expect那種？

其實, 係我一直以來心結想搵加拿大價錢可負擔嘅 boarding school, 一直以來我所搵嘅加拿大排名高嘅公校都係 homestay, 所以我由始至終唔係好想阿女去加拿大中學留學, 想佢去其他國家讀 boarding school

因為紐西蘭/愛爾蘭/日本/星加坡等國家我搵到最少一間價錢十幾廿鬆萬而成績唔錯嘅 boarding school 阿女可以試報讀, 但主人翁仍然好有主見好堅持想去加拿大, 尋晚問佢佢答仍然係加拿大, 其他國家佢唔係好想去. 而加拿大公校學費 + homestay ~13萬 一年, 連埋機票及雜費十幾萬頂盡廿萬一定夠, 呢個價錢又真係超級勁吸引. 另外現實啲, 我都想中學費用平啲, 咁如果阿女日後係外國讀大學唔怕唔夠錢供佢, 外國讀大學~三十幾萬, 讀3年已經要過百萬了.

最後要滿足晒我及阿女最基本要求:
我    :  $$ 銀紙非常有限 + 最好最好係基督教學校 + 畢業率高 + 多學生畢業後入大學
阿女 : 加拿大

符合以上條件就得出我之前所最後決定嗰啲學校了.

前兩日, 我有俾阿女睇嗰間公校 FB 相, 前日啲學生已經著到成個糭咁, 我又講過嗰個地方冬天-3XC 並且冬天係歷時~半年, 阿女依家係香港咩野都話OK 無問題, 唔洗擔心喎

搵學校真係令人好沮喪

本來, 心情真係唔係幾好, 香港理工呢個星期咁樣, 而阿女申請加拿大只申請一間基督教公立學校, 但係school board 嗰邊完全無動靜好似石沉大海咁, 完全無消息幾時 skype faith interview 及又唔知收唔收.

呢兩星期我作最後努力繼續搵排名高啲嘅基督教公立學校,  send e-mail 俾某 school board 又未覆反而安排 homestay 機構覆我嗰間學校學位好 full 無位, 以及嗰間學校無收長期讀嘅國際學生, 只係收短期讀. 自己心情又再 down down 地.

終於, 啱啱 agent 通知收到學校 email 夾日期及時間 skype faith interview (最後夾到 12月11日夜晚10:30). 另外, 要填 homestay 資料俾 school board 安排 homestay (如果 interview 順利過關的話).

如果當學校取錄後, 下一個關口係申請學生簽證(財力證明), 希望, 一步一步順利過關. 為自己打氣加油! 大家加油!

其實中午先去會唔會真係遲呢，因為我個仔而家讀中一，但係我又驚錢嘅方面只係剛剛好，因為打算全家一齊去，當係退休，如果香港讀多幾年，我錢方面就唔使擔心，不過似乎幾遲下，會唔會呢?因為我唔知現在有的資產，足不足夠，事關我不知道每個月要用多少錢，講真，香港用的錢也不是少

我嗰間 School Board 依家先至夾到時間下星期三（12月11日）夜晚 10：30 Skype Faith Interview 而已，有排都未知有無 offer，12月中放聖誕假了，我估出年 2020 年頭先至知有無 offer 卦？

啱啱 skype interview 完，interviewer 好 nice 好親切，全程同阿女傾吓偈，我同C6 只係陪坐陪笑。我英文唔係幾好，佢好似話~兩個星期左右便會有結果

問題會唔會主要圍繞信仰？

又無咩問信仰。
一開始問阿女中文名有咩意思丶鍾意讀咩野科?將來讀大學想讀咩野科? 想係加拿大讀完高中就完定係會有其他學習?將來想係加拿大定其他國家讀書?點解選擇去加拿大讀書等等問題?

學校真係有Chinese 學生呀
啱啱agent 打俾我， School Board send 咗 email 俾agent, 昨晚 interview OK 呀， 而 School Board 亦 揾到一個 homestay 好近學校而呢個homestay 會有一個 G12 嘅Chinese 學生係度寄宿緊，問我接唔接受呢個 homestay?

PS. 呢個School Board homestay 係自己 School Board 自己攪，無外判俾其他機構, 而 homestay 亦係揾返學校家長做
