They need to sit for IELTS and TOFEL as to fulfill language requirement first, then all depends on university assessment and program's language requirement.
Ironically, they play around technicality, like CUHK will favour bilingual diploma holder even the student only has English B.

Put it this way, if we assume A vs B, lower by 2 grades, 36+ still a good result for first batch.

I don't know about HKU Law School, for Medic is like this, min English requirement for A HL - 4, SL - 5; for B, HL -7.
I guess Law School should know the difference.

Stories behind the numbers are very interesting.

Just quote an example last year, CIS's Maths average grade higher than DBS in HL & SL........ Why ?

I am not sure how many students opt for IB initially.

If 200 students compete for 90 seats, you need to upset some students. If 90 seats for 70 applicants is another story.

Annie40 is correct, CIS in Maths HL, SL and Maths Studies are a bit better than DBS last year. Some students in IS can be very good in Maths.

You are correct...... Overseas students are selected by other UWCs.
LPC just like Hang Seng Commercial College, they got the top students from other secondary schools in HK.

In DBS, some students picked French and no Chinese in junior form, as they can't survive in DSE, they joined the IB stream finally. They may take Chinese B in IBDP, this valid for the first two batches. From next year onward, no more Chinese B, only Chinese A; but they can take French or German as second Language.
