兩者都冇乜分別,協恩都不是個個有運動天份,上智大部份學生都是讀書型,鮮有在學界體育攞奬!最緊要是用家.....即是你的小朋友意願!大家交流下心德!Bye!

重點係協恩是直資，你會早一點知道得定唔得。上智是官津學校，放榜要跟大隊到7月。

如果協恩有offer，我覺得最好都係接受左先。

It sounds HTC is better in terms of academic achievement. It has 68.8% in the degree-course entry shown in her school leaflet to parents and DSE result is very impressive. I learn little about this in HY.

Consider the pupils who sat HKDSE, Heep Yunn local university admission rate is 69.7%. I would say the difference between HY and HTC is negligible. Both are good schools. If I were you, I would bring daughter to visit both schools, take a look at the courses they offer, and leave the final decision to her. However, remind her that if she declines HY offer and wait for HTC, she will bear a risk. Well ... DSS schools are in a more advantageous position to attract students. That is reality.

That is true. However, this is the general difference in the selection between a DSS and a government-subsidized school. The later is obviously not in a position to compete in this regard. For the sake of the concern on specific schools mentioned here, it should have been well understood.
Would like to understand more about your quoted % if it is confined to the entry to degree course or just the admission rate covering all post-secondary courses..

69.7% - degree programmes offered by 8 universities
20.2% - overseas studies + self-financing institutions
10.1% - associate's degree + repeat + others

其實係我朋友, 佢同我心儀的都一樣, 上智同協恩. 佢女女second in 左 hy 喇. 我地都覺得入既機會都幾大. 佢其實想上智多d. 因為交通近好多. 不過, 一個4月知, 一個7月知, hy 真係收, 如果要等上智, 真係好博je.

如果交通不是太遠而且經濟上負擔到,HYS收,應該讀la ,HTC仍是未知之數. 還以為HYS出左offer.你朋友的囡囡Int得好好? 可否告之点解機會大?

兩間差不多, hy名氣也許大一點點.
可以先accept hy, 派位後再向心儀校叩門.
有直資offer在手, interview點都會有confid得多.

我朋友的女兒亦有類似情況,她是小學校長推薦計劃,所以覺得機會幾大,但經濟上想讀上智多啲

我相信校方同一時間所公布的pie chart (出路分佈) 應該是無錯，如是者，根據這個pie chart所計算出來的本地大學入U率應該是63.69%，所以我覺得校方所公布的68.8%是錯的，有興趣可以參考我理順了再計出來的數字。

再者，有可能因為海外升學=5.1%，所以總入U率(本地+海外) = 63.69% + 5.1% = 68.79%，忙中有錯，攪錯了這個數字都未定！
