要經JUPAS就要考334，如果選擇考IB就要經非聯招考本地大家，即同全世界各地考生一齊爭

Based on the offers of local Us given to local IB candidates which I am aware of and the recently announced U admission results for DSE candidates, I don't think local IB candidates are in a disadvantaged position with their local Us' admission. E.g. an IB score of 42 out of 45 should not be more difficult to get than a DSE result of 4x5**+1x5* which is the average HKU MBBS admission offer this year. The competition for U places is not so much among local and overseas IB candidates for non-JUPAS quota but rather among local IB/GCEAL/DSE candidates, etc. for the subsidised U places.
