Are you sure they can't get the Territory - wide Rank Order List based on the 2nd term exam result of P5?

I know DSS can have the rank order list in a couple of admission seminars 6 years ago.

Without that, how DSS schools compare inter-school performance.

經過求証後，你說的對。所有直資中學如沒有參加派位的都可以在最遲一月中遞交收生名單給教局的學位分配組。
結果會於三月中旬發放給各直資中學。(所以我都係刪除番之前的錯誤分析，以免誤導其他人。)

我覺得直資學校憑著佢地咁多年來的收生經驗，加上同學5、6年或者加埋4年級的成績已大約知道這班同學大約的程度會去到邊度。我地睇睇協恩就知，佢地直情唔等個名單放埋榜添。

排名次序對學校來說，可能讓佢地更加了解那些小學的程度和變化好讓中學作出適當的評核。何況學生排名次序加了師兄師姐的成績因素在內，還不及直接看小朋友自己的成績和表現來得實際。

據我所知，dbs單就三間名私小在三月前已收了超過40人。

Thanks for your clarification.
It confirmed DSS also consider academic results as basic and not just based on special talents for admission.

Most DSS schools based on the first 呈分試 , not the second and the third. Based on experience is biased and difficult to compare among different schools.

咁又唔係太清楚, 我只是打過電話去問DBS, 他們話他們只有在12月份及2月11日IN過小朋友, 而12月份是IN了約30位, 收盡也是30位(12月份有份IN的小朋友是在12月份知結果), 但我知有D無去註冊, 而2月11日後會有D需要2ND IN(有關音樂及運動, 但有關的2ND IN是在3月份開始), 但現在CPU1995你話已經收了三間名私小超過40人(還有好多不是私立小學的學生), 而我知收到OFFER的也不一定是私小, 最少我現在所知的有三位都是政府或資助小學, 如果以你所說, 即是DBS已經滿座

, 以你的推論........真令人想不透了

Yes, in April and also inform you, if you still interested in joining DBS, you can inform them in June and sit for written examination. No more audition, no more sports trial and interview, just academic results of Chinese, English and Maths.

The no of admitted candidates are based on info of some parents from these 3 private schools which may not be reliable. However, if you browse the school websites of some famous private schools in Shumshuipo and Kowloon Tong, the final no of admitted students may not be far from this figure.

You are correct that DBS has not yet started sport and music audition. My friend just receives letter for audition in mid Mar. So the final result may release in Apr and the no of music and sports talent will not be admitted more than 25 percents.

The information from these parents may not be reliable and I think that DBS might have only admitted 30 students in Dec last year. Also, I think that it is immaterial to know which school's students can fulfil most criteria of DBS's admission requirements as DBS's selection criteria is fair and traditonal for over a century.

DBS said they chose the kids based on school reports before they get the terrritory-wide ranking.
So they will only have a look at the ranking list afterwards and make sure the kids they accept are in the upper range. eg. the kid is within the top XXX or not.
They found that top 400 sometimes is even smarter than top 299.
The ranking won't affect their decision. Interview is more crucial for them to choose the smarter kid.

KTS上年得兩位學生入DBS, 今年竟有9位, 真的好勁

Last year 2 boys gave up DBS and went to SPCC. Otherwise, there should be 4 to DBS.
It is heard that last year girls were outperformed boys.

Up to now, 9 were given offer from DBS, but 2 were quitted. So only 7 left.
But I guess 2 more will quit soon. The last outcome should be 5 to DBS finally.
There are a lot of sports talents this year.

Still remember I were sitting beside u in the P1 first day luncheon gathering 6 years ago.
Hope that our sons will become schoolmates again next year.

小桃兒呀! 恭喜你的叻仔。而我自己+個囝囝都是好平常心去面對, 當年轉校都是想輕鬆D去學習, 在KTS已經要勤力, 要有好成績就要加倍努力, 而我+囝囝都是懶人

We receive calls for both interview and acceptance.
First round might be different from second round.
