I am also applying through general admission and still waiting for the letter. But, not all applicants are going to have a chance. According to Q&As of the School, only 450 will be interviewed, then more than 1,000 (i guess at least 1500 have applied) will be disappointed in the very first round.

That is cruel.

I also got the letter for interview next Saturday morning. Our kids have done their best in the past six years to at least get a chance for the interview. Whatever the result is, they are our best. Let's give them our full support as we all have done in the past six years.

We got the interview letter too and I know my daughter's school has other 5 students also got SPCC interview letters

How are the tests (Chinese, English and Maths) compared with those of DGS? Which are more difficult?

Compared with dgs, the test of SPCC is more difficult ,and it will be a question on science knowledge

Thanks esmond88. Did parents need to accompany their kids during the SPCC interview? If not, is there any place for parents to wait while their kids are attending the interview?

Parents don't need to sit together with their kid. After your kids report to school, the student helper will bring them to the rooms for interview test. And there will be a room for the parents to stay and wait your kids.

Thank you for sharing. Just learnt from another thread there will be group discussion in English. How about Chinese? Whether there will be group discussion in Chinese just like DGS?

No group discussion in Chinese.
Only English group discussion.

Except Science, Maths questions might also be asked.

我小朋友在這裡就讀,星期六將回校做helper招呼準師弟妹們.昨日放學後工作會議......聽佢講就如前提及一樣,分4部份:中英數科.

只要小朋友不要太緊張,而各負責老師都好友善,當閒話家常,就有好表現

My daughter also said that teachers were nice and gave her lots of encouragement during the interview. She is satisfied with her performance. Whatever the result is, I think she has done her job.
