How can I know the no. of students or proportion of band 1 /2/ 3 students in my kid's school?

Would each band be subdivided into say 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a ... 3c? If so, would I be informed by the school the band that my kid belongs to?

If my kid is in say 1a band, would he have higher chance to go to top govt/subsidy schools which have no link to my kid's school?

You can ask the school teacher which band of your kids based on the acredemic result.

Once you know this information, you can plan which secondary school is fit for him/her.

If your kids got good acredemic result, ie top 5 in the whole grade, of course you can try the subsi/gov school.
