小女今年六年級,想讀直資中學,有人介紹我報這間,有無家長幫下我?除了這間,還有無其他好的真資嗎？

My friend's daughter gets in (F.1) this Sept. She's from normal primary school (2As 1B, ranks 50 out of 200), no prizes on music, services, etc. but a devoted Christian.

I learnt from another BK column (teachers'column) that the school has firm Christian values and nurtures both teachers and students spiritually (one of the reasons my friend chooses this school).

thank you for your reply, 2As,1B you mean Chinese, Math and English. Your friend daughter is a Band 1 student in her school,that mean this school will accept band 1
student and Christian only?

顏寶玲和匯基都是03新校，今年會考成績都是中一自行收生教到中5，
成績都是自已一手一腳教出來。而顏寶玲已在官網登出會考成績來。成績幾好。
但匯基沒有在官網登出會考成績，成績可能比顏寶玲好，或可能差，自已想想吧。

顏保玲今年收中六理科要17分, 匯基要20分. 據我所知匯基比顏保玲好.

No. I mean my friend's daughter does nto have an impressive portfolio ( no awards, not a school prefect, etc). She is not band 1 in the sense that her primary school only have 25 band 1 english secondary school places.

Another friend's child got in the third round "knock door" with no religious background. The child did not get a place in the "through-train" secondary school and
so I guess he is not a band 1 student.

如果根據中學概覽，顏寶鈴書院

中五 3班理科 120人 2班文商 80人
中六 1班理科 30人 1班文商 30人

所以要收外生。

保良局顏寶鈴書院的理科17分是指校內收生 [04/08[13:00] 完成收生，第一階段已經收夠人]

而

匯基(東九龍) 的理科20分是指收校外生。

匯基(東九龍) 的理科20分是指收校外生，是否代表匯基(東九龍)理科有14分的校內生在第一階段仍然未收夠人，即150人中五生亦不足60人有14分升讀原校，因而需要收校外生呢

No, no, no 它今年都未有校內中5生 (除非中學概覽的資料舊)，
收校外生是唯一途徑。

The school has his own F.5 students this year, the information from the 中學概覽 was last year's record.
