我的小兒現時在St. Stephen唸中三，是中學轉直資的第一屆。他是由聖小升上去的。

轉直資後，中學每級分六班，每班三十三人。其中兩班為精英班。中英文是小班教學。六班共分為九個小組。即每小組約二十二人。學校會將學生每科成績分為十級，讓你知道你的子女的能力強弱在那裡。

學校環境優美，同學間的關係很好，競爭氣氛不太強烈。學校的成績不算特出，但不斷在進步中。前年學校出了第一個十優生，去年亦出了第一個九優生。學校沒有公佈會考的優良數目，但去年是學校歷史上會考優良數目最多的一屆，高考純數科亦有超過50%的人拿到A。據前學校老師講，未轉直資前，由於校內有從聖小升上去，亦有政府派位的，在雙方的磨合上有一點問題，所以會有些問題學生。現在由於學校自主收生，問題亦該迎刃而解。

事實上，學校有不少優秀學生。小兒的一位同學在中二時報考了中學會考的兩科數學及理科，結果兩科數學都拿了A，理學則拿到良。

學校的活動不少，小兒一個月前才剛剛參加完中三的強制性的五日四夜外展訓練，划獨木舟到荒島露營。這間學校不是一間造A工廠，但是在個人整全發展方面的訓練不錯。家長要知道學校的教學理念才不會找錯學校。希望以上資料能幫到一些有興趣這間學校的家長。

我好鐘意間學校,有個同事幾個仔女都係度讀..點解咁耐都未有結果?洗吾洗打電話去問?我知寄宿會優先架,面試都有問,不過阿女答吾寄宿....我亦吾想佢話寄宿但讀又吾寄宿...好似講大話咁...

Just called SSC. They said the first batch of offer letters were issued on 19 Mar, Sat. That means those accepted will receive offer letters today at the earliest.

真係吾該晒妳~~一路我都吾夠膽打去問...好怕衰左~~~~咁即係有幾輪人啦...希望係第一輪啦.SAT吾洗去自行間學校面試,今WEEK考完試可以玩下..吾係就又折磨中~~~~~

冇錯，現任校長Louis Law（聖士提反書院的第一任女校長）會於今年退休。新任校長是現任南區聖公會呂明才的校長（忘記了她的名字），在任呂明才校長前，是協恩女校的副校長。

學校正不斷擴建，新的宿舍應該於今年底入伙。新的教學大樓及學生活動中心亦已在籌劃之中。由於學校內有一條文物徑，學校會招募有興趣的同學擔任講解員，介紹學校的歷史予市民大衆認識。最近roadshow對此亦有介紹。

唔好意思，前文提到去年在高考純數考獲A級的應為43.8%, 不是超過50%, 特此更正。

學校的報告提到去年會考共有十八科的合格率高於全港平均數，其中英文，普通話，附加數及視覺藝術科的合格率為100%。高考最好成績的是3A。

至於往海外升學亦十分普遍，小兒中二時全級約有二百人，中三祇有約一百七十多人，但學校並不打算多收外來生，因中四新高中祇有五班，三班理科，兩班文科。不收外來生，每班便仍維持約三十多人。不過往海外讀書跟成績沒有關係。事實上，成績最好的精英班的學生大多還留校升學。

My daughter is studying S1. She's not from the Preparatory School. Yet, she can manage her study quite well. I have made allowances for her coz she is a regular boarder.

The teachers are caring. My daughter loves them very much.

Return agreement and also give the student record form to the school. I called the school office and they say Sat before 12:00pm is OK.

This is a very good school but despite the 100% scholarship given to my daughter, most likely she won't join, she wants to enter another school more....I have to respect her own wish.

No need to apply, they offer this in the acceptance letter.

I like this school very much. We will have a family meeting tonight to discuss about accepting or not. I will try to influence my daughter.

May I know what kind of ECA does the school offer? And is the fee reasonable?

Try to answer you guys' questions as far as I know:
1. There're 4 dormitories.  North House is for girls only whereas Martin Hostel is for boys only.  West Wing and East Wing - may change each year.  A new dormitory will be completed by this summer.
2. The students will be allocated to the said dormitories which have rooms of different sizes.  Cannot change normally.
3. Strict house rules - see the school's website.  Need to remain silence during preparatory sessions and after light out.
4. Most of the ECAs are not expensive.  For music class, may be slightly more expensive.
5. Different kinds of ECAs are available.  Some are quite special e.g. cricket.  The students are required to join not more than 2 and not less than 1 ECA.
6. You can't pay post-dated cheque.  They will bank in your cheque shortly after you've completed the formalities in April.

Of course you can get your kid's student record form even though you have completed the formalities in April. The only consideration is $ (1 month's school fee).

Hi all,
I'm new here, just joined.
We've rec'd the acceptance letter early this week. I didn't know if we've made a right dsn as we've withdrawn the school place in HKUGA which we've accepted earlier. We registered at SSC yesterday.
My auntie has kept on saying SSC's ranking is very low. HKUGA is much much better.....

Any comments?

Although we won't register on Sat, but I can say SSC is a very good school. I personally like this school very much, but it is only my daughter has another preference and we have to respect her.

They have a 10A student in the last HKCEE!

No worries. Please wait till 20th Apr as all students/parents can still change their mind on whether to accept or not the DSS school place. If you r very interested in SSC, why not send a letter to the Principal. No harm try!
So far as I know, there r always places available on 5th July but subject to keen competition!
