If my memory serves me right, this year is the first year the school runs such program, so no past record for reference.

Every year the school does have introduction session for parents and students from the St. Paul's College Primary School. I attended the one in Dec 2008 and you can find some info of that visit from the link below:

Though I am a parent of SPCPS, I also enroll "meeting with principal", just want to see if there is difference from the introductory session offered to SPCPS parents.

香港社會的發展, 使入學變了"名牌"比拼。如果当年聖保羅、华仁与喇沙的 founders 還在生，一定覺得好好笑。

還記得幾年前和陳校長討論 "保羅行動"的命名時，都講過為甚麼香港咁鬼多 "St Paul's" (最少9间 St Paul's 行頭的中小學)，除相當有啓發外(除了"Y記"类的基督徒家長外，基督徒家長應知道答案)，還有一點點感動，如果打算送孩子入 SPCPS 的家長，不防上一上兩间 "聖保羅"网站的 history 部份，多點"冷"知識都幾好，須然不在 10A 考試範圍。

九华也好，SPC 也好，成績是有滑落，但因有親近的小朋友在学或刚畢业，我敢講兩间学校在"教育人"的本位工作上，没有失职。

講回成績，學生和父母都有責任，如果刚入 JC1，請準備和孩子一起走一条 12 年的漫長成長路。

最後要多提新家長一句，SPC 是不把 10A 當作教育目標的。

Dear yph2005,

The last sentence was about the usual comment that SPC has never produced any 10A student. Although the school has good programs to help students to enhance academic capacity, the school also tries very hard not to focus on academic results only. As a parent, I do appreciate their efforts in this direction, as not everyone is material for 10A & there are many other important objectives in secondary education.

If you went through their DSS audit report and the Principal's messages, you might find out more about the school's objectives and recent works to improve the school.

Selecting school is an utmost important decision for any young man, I just try to present my understandings/impressions of the school to those parents who may be interested in this school.

相對一些直資學校拿看著收生彈性去搶學生,但又要掩飾坐擁盈餘去做大,唉!究竟要教育定營商

Here you come again, anyway, the hard facts, that the recent academic results are not satisfactory and many criticisms towards the school such as yours, are becoming a drive to make my boy to work hard. May be a fool, but I still appreciate a lot that the school has provided an environment for my boy to learn a lot more about other aspects of life.

I hope other parents can understand that, both you and I, are just providing information from our own points of view for other to make their right choice.

By the way, I trust you know the meaning of "夏虫不可以語冰" and "如人饮水，冷暖自知". Under the sun, there are still many things we cannot understand.

The admission booklet can be downloaded from the college website now, along side with prospectus and several other related documents.

It might be the first time that a budget is also included, thanks to the audit report incident la.

By the way, in the prospectus, the school names a few of the graduates, who are now in the "leading roles" of several sectors in the society. I feel sorry not seeing the name of Ching Cheong Head Prefect 69. Well, the school did invite him to give a special talk to the students as a function of the school's 156th (?) anniversary activities. The subject of the talk, according to a student guide of my parent introduction tour to the school back in 2008, was very appropriate to a school of Christian faith, "Why did I turn to Christianity when I was serving my jailing term."

計3次呈分試: 小五final exam, 小六mid term exam同埋下學期 term test 成績.

English & CHinese以overall grade計.
Maths就係最慘, 得一張paper. (我個仔就食呢科危危乎).
GS都係GS1+GS2既overall 計.

理論上, 要入番SPC, 只用小五final exam+小六mid term exam成績, 不過有d situation會可能call埋test results睇.

除左good pass, conduct都同等重要 (不過呢d多數學生都OK既).

ah, good question, just a guessing, at the time the school makes decision, i don't think they have the whole hk ranking. Then they might need to rely on the applicants' school performance.

For yr reference, u can check the Nov 8 message of the principal, he wrote about the demographic profile of yr 10-11 F1 students. I found the info quite interesting but this piece of info might not be too relevant to new admission.
