My niece got 2nd choice only.

She ranked the 5th in whole grade (and 3rd in class) in a Band 1 primary school.

A bit disappointed.

Actually 2nd choice is not bad --> it's SSGC.

Glad that we don't need to go through that painful process 4 years later....

btw, do you intend to let your kid try the placement allocation when he's P6? Or you just go straight to the one-dragon secondary school?

My girl is going to study K1 this year......far away to P.6 allocation but I think I won't take the risk to have P.6 allocatio. I will try my best to look for a one-dragon school for her lar.

YWGS is a very good school indeed ... I had a lot sweet memories there...

Actually my niece had also put YWGS in 1st choice and SSGC in 2nd for both 1st and 2nd round. Don't know which is which...

Most probably stay in the same school but I will try SSPA too as I prefer my son studying in a boys' school in secondary stage.

I think most probably due to fewer seats in a class (小班) and hence competition is more keen than before.
