Thank you and good to know this. Getting very excited as I think my son performed ok but of course there is no guarantee as esf is non-selective, they won't pick the best to give offer. I knew some peoples already got offer two weeks ago, i guess there are less seats open for this second round of play visit...
have you attended the play visit in this Feb. round too??

Great. My friend attended Nov. play visit, she told me that teacher talked to the kid not just the parents only. but they didn't talk to my kid at all, what about u ??
Well, I feel good of their approach ,jot notes quietly and not bother our kids and let them to play together.

we don't have any sibling / alumni nor any priority , guess the chance is low but still hope for the best. good luck. And hope we can get the news in this week.

Although my chance in ESF is quite low , but i started to consider this question now.

We don't have any priorities, and my kid is studying there already. From my experience, teachers won't talk to you if you and yr child have enough interaction in english

Actually I called to esf this afternoon.they said for mon and tues interview, they only sent out the reject ones
If Waiting or confirmed , will send later ..,
But wonder y some others have the confirmation ??

ESF schools do not rank the children from best to worst based on their interview performance. If your child meets their minimum requirements, s/he will pass the interview.

Whether your child will get an offer or on the waiting list depends on your priority class and random number. If the school has 200 places but 300 children pass the interview (e.g. 50 with priority and 250 without), first 50 places will be offered to those with priority and the following 150 places will be offered to those 150 children with the top 150 random numbers. The remaining 100 children will be on the waiting list.

That explains why some people receive offer earlier (with priority or high random number) than others.

Wa! Still have Interview today? 但見contract 寫明唔保證有小學及中學面試。但唔係小學已經不用面試？是否有機會會唔收？
同埋大家會唔會有一個唔確定如果轉咗做IS會唔會太鬆冇糾律。唔太確定是否適合自己小朋友？

Yes , 90%+
onsite observation if ESF KG students, no interviews needed but you need to do the central application
there's another post here with details on how best to fill out the form

as for discipline, my son is in K1 now and the teachers are very experienced and excellent, they have a daily schedule in class, no issues regarding discipline, if your kid has issues the school is quick to contact the parents and work with you together on issues like taking turns, sharing, etc.

to be honest, we really feel like the teachers treat each individual child uniquely, according to their development and the level of attention and communications between the school and parents is excellent, my niece is in a famous local primary now, sure it's well disciplined but so many restrictions and focus on rote learning there is no room for individual thinking or creativity at all, we are trying to switch her back international school now

thank you for your comment and am so glad to know that children in ESF are well disciplined.
i have a super active child with lots of ideas of her own, it is difficult to make her do what we want sometimes, so we are still having some doubts. your comment has reassured me.

I personally think that the 1st round result should be already released whether rejected or success. but i think there still have the chance since the deadline for offer acceptance is today 2/20. So, they may call the waiting list students later this week. But i think if you haven't got any response from school, probably you may call to school to ask , as my friend attended Nov. play visit, she got the rejected email few days after the play visit, shouldn't be received nothing after it. If I m wrong pls correct me.

For those still not yet received the responses from school , add oil !! I think after the deadline- 2/20, school must have more open seats on hand , they may send email by today .
Besides, it seems that most of ppls in here got offer are mostly no priority nor sibling related. So , Feb.batch are mostly small b ,no priorities and pure not bad random no. and good performance in play visit??

I also surprised that they really left some seats for Feb. play visit, i thought most seats already filled up by Jan. play visit..
