其實遇上一個合眼緣既面試老師都好重要，就算樣樣做到，但好似我女咁，第三天面試遇上一個已經好疲倦既老師，一早預左無運行，結果咪就係 reject.

KV SC and SKH are quite different types of school, very much depends on what you want and your family's style.

Heard that SKH syllabus is less difficult compares with the other two schools and probably less exposure to English compared with SC

But that doesn't mean that SKH kids English is of disadvantage, coz SKH parent said that the quality of English teacher at SKH is comparable to NET.

Thanks for sharing. I just read from the old post mentioning the hours on Eng is comparatively less than SC, but some kids are having excellent reading skills already (reading chapter book at K2). Yet I doubt that parent contribution/ taking extra English class may be the cause more than the school's work on this area.

Mind if I ask if Vic vs SKH, how would you recommend? Seems that you also have kids studying/graduated from vic? Many thanks for your sharing.

If your family does not have a natural english environment at home, I am not sure if your kid will excel in English to the level you want if you have concerns. If you choose SKH, expect your child to be totally fluent in Cantonese but may be weaker in English relatively. But if you target local school, it should not be a problem.

Not sure how they collect this information unless the school tell them so. People with SKH offer are likely to have offers from SC, Vic, KV and even SPK. Compare with these other schools, is SKH really the most obvious choice? I doubt it, at least I will certainly go for SPK if I have the offer or even Vic if on HK side. I would say that it is not easy but can't be just 2-3 who rejects the offer. So there is always hope!
To all those who don't get the offer, the consolation is that the placement result does not seem to be that outstanding as in you have missed out a lot.

Vic vs SKH is really a tough decision ...which I am facing now as well.

Previously I picked Vic for my girl coz she had been doing great at Vic and I really like the language environment and learning approach. At that time and now I still consider VSA as one of my preferred primary school for her (if she is accepted). Since she was doing great and without a big reason to change, I chose to stay at Vic for her (also gave up a dragon school)

SKH has very good teaching in Christian values, self discipline, social manners and presentation skills. The cons side of SKH is language environment may not be as rich as in Vic.So you may need to put more efforts in reading with kids or even send them to academic class ...

Having said that, it is always good to develop reading habit in kids :)

Thanks for your sharing. I am now also facing the choice between Vic vs SKH. My girl is studying PN in Victoria and got a SKH offer. Exactly the same thinking as you towards both schools, so it's really a tough decision.

SKH's placement result isn't that outstanding??? (emoji)(emoji) the school is very modest not to publish the actual numbers on the webpage, just the school names.

care to share the numbers then? It will help people like me to arrive at a more accurate conclusion. So far, I know only 1 student who graduated from SKH and he only had 2 offers. None from schools on HK Island despite the fact that he lives on HK Island and those two are not the traditional schools which everyone is fighting to get it. The rest of my friends who got accepted bythe top notch ones e.g DGS, DBS and SPCC, 2 boys from breaemer hill, 1 boy from KV, two girls from Lingnan, 2 from SC. But of course, my SKH sample is just 1 so I must say I could be totally wrong. It will be great if people can share the numbers to explain the hype of this school, without numbers, it is just hearsay.

每年都有三十幾人入SPCCPS
今年K3有都30+個SPCCPS offers
can u imagine in every 4 to 5 SPCC P1 pupils, one is from SKH?
If that doesn't impress u, I dunno which KG can. Maybe Braemar Hill?

我會選SKH , 這是一間十分難入到的學校！聖公會老師就算有十年經驗，都只是一位助手，可想而知大部分老師都是十分有經驗的，楊校長是一位對教學十分有熱誠的小朋友，如果你有機會聽楊校長講野，你會覺得很幸運如果小朋友可以在這間學校讀書. (emoji)
