I noticed many schools are asking their PTA or students to sell “sticker flags” on weekends. I would like to know if there is a reason why people choose this for their kids? Is there any advantage of getting into a better school or looks better on their school application?
I just dont understand why kids are put in the street in such heat to sell stickers to get donations, unless there is an advantage behind the scenes?
Would appreciate any insight on this, thanks much!

Yes thats a display of resilience and knowing how it feels of being rejected rudely.

It’s good for kids to learn to care for the community? Small kids can’t join many other charity events except for marathon fund raising etc.
Many parents don’t want their kids to be calculating and only give whenever there is an “advantage”

Yes, you can include the certificate of participation in the fundraising event in the school portfolio, just to make it look more diverse. However, it is not as important as the chance to develop their communication skill, empathy and social awareness.
