Despite of academic factor, interested to know what’s the preference to pick the candidates to 2nd round.

My daughter had year 6 assessment but didnt pass.

I hope she can attempt for year 7 assessment next year.

Can someone share what was the assessment like for year 7?

For year 6 below, the kids had assessment on verbal and non verbal reasoning.

Just wonder if the assessment for year 7 is the same??

Year 7 assessments also cover verbal and non verbal reasoning in the 1st tier assessments . They are asked to complete a writing task and comprehension as well in the 2nd tier assessment.
Does your gal pass the 1st tier assessment of year 6?

Yes, for all grades from Y2 on, but will have beginner stream to cater for new comers.

Sorry I have no clues. But I personally think it has a threshold, rather than a given % of acceptance.

The date of submission doesn’t affect your chance of being invited for an assessment. It may affect when an offer is given if the child passes at a later stage .
According to the invitation letter, it mentions that if a child didn’t pass the assessments ( both 1 st tier and 2nd tier) she or he is advised to apply again in 2 years time. Not in the following academic year.
As Gsis has a relatively high standard of academic requirements .
