本身冇諗住擇IS，最近情況有少少改變所以啱啱先開始睇 info。
阿仔19年出世，超細B，係英國BC，佢冇中文名，想問如果報ESF或Kellett有冇priority?
我問過Kellett佢地話UK passport holder is not a priority，係計排隊先後，咁如果又真係有expat喺外國嚟香港排得好後咪冇書讀？
又ESF同Kellett都係計calendar year即我仔係超細B要同同年年頭嘅BB一齊見（如果有得見嘅話）。我B係中英家庭，我係香港人我老公係英國人，通常呢類BB喺2種語言下長大會俾其他BB遲講嘢，咁如果咁好彩有得in但又未講到嘢咁點算？

From my understanding, the cut-off year group is between Sept-Aug for Kellett. You have to be 4 years old by end of Aug to enter Reception year. You can check the school’s website.

On that basis, those born in Sept will be the “eldest” and those born in Aug will be the “youngest” in each year group for Kellett.

Oh yes I did not read the table thoroughly. I applied for 2024 for my baby days before since the admission office said the priority is purely depending on the applying date. But TBH since we will leave HK eventually before Y9, I personally want him to get into ESF due to the financial reason.

May I ask if UK passport holder will obtain a certain level of adv over the local passport holder even though they said no to me?

My understanding is that there is certainly advantage as foreign passport holder (regardless of which foreign country) over local passport holders only because they have to maintain their 70% foreign vs 30% local ratio.

But this advantage is not specifically for UK passport holders, other countries such as US/AU/Canada passport holders would be have the same advantage.

由英基幼稚園入學，應該不難。
重點視乎你住邊區、考邊一間。

考到的家長都會話容易的，每個孩子和家庭不同，試吓先啦！
至於大仔細仔的問題真的不用介懷，按照自己孩子的成長步伐，主要以英語傾偈聊天，讓他能掌握學習就可以。我認識的小朋友之中，不少是聰明的細仔。

Kellett should have given you a waiting number after you’ve applied. They said for 2024 reception, waiting number before 120 should have a great chance for interview.
My child is also a bc, n was born towards the end of 2019.

I did not receive a waiting number in the confirmation email.
And I asked the admission office right before I applied they said the waiting number is around 170. So means my baby is having less chance to obtain an interview right?

Kellett said they have 115 places (69 at pok fu lam) I guess 170 still have chance but may be not the first batch.

170 should be very highly likely to get a place, my friend was 250+ this year finally get the spot, and Kellett normally do not need interview, but only submit recent school report, non-selective school.

I got the reply from the school, my baby is at around 150 atm, I think maybe there are around 20 applicants without foreign pp (?)

But we are targeting KB campus, and there are only less than 50 places located in KB, so...... I live in Kowloon West, should I queue for the Pok Fu Lam as well???????

Hi Chima_pigpig, waiting list number 150, you can get 99% confidence to get into Kellett either campus.
from above even 250 also get a chance into Kellett.

If your child has UK passport, your child will have priority of admission in ESF schools.

Really? I thought uk passport is just the same has all other foreign passports? Where on their website did u see uk passport has priority over any other ones?

你情況同我當年好似，不過我對女今年已經Year 10, 可能唔update. 我老公都係英國人，又係住西九，對女有BC passport, 當年入青衣，因為ESF 由幼稚園上小學，係有priority. 記得當年個校長講好多小朋友未識講嘢，但只要聽得明指示和有反應就可以。

k2第一個學期尾時，會有小學老師到幼稚園觀察及評分, 所以就算interview 失手，都有得拉分。當年只有2個小朋友上唔到ESF 小學。

according Kellett website

there are school fee, debenture,
Bus fees, uniform, 'bring-your-own' devices (laptops & iPads), lunch, exam entry fees, extra-curricular activities and overseas education visits are not included in the School Fees

bus fee, lunch 加理都5-6 千架, depends location. 其他e.g. ECA 有限數.

hi there my son is also 2019 born so can apply kellet now? I thought application will open 1 year before entrance.. ? this applies to esf ?!

我大女已經返咗英國讀書，會考GCSE 和考IB
細女喺香港，不過過多兩年都會返英國，應該都係考IB
一定唔會留香港讀大學。
以我女學校為例吧！學生成績都幾
參差，上中學後真係靠小朋友自律，某啲科都有精英班，咁入到就梗係好啲。

Kellett 小學係帶飯的，校車九龍一年$15870 /10 個月=$1587/ 個月。Eca 有D $500- 2500 一個term。

我上英國啲大學嘅website睇，佢地寫如果要用home student嘅價錢讀大學要入大學前喺英國住滿3年，如果唔係even係BC都要俾貴學費，想問係唔係最遲3年前送佢一個返去就得？如果真係冇得擇我同我老公要笗喺香港都可以？thank you!!!

其實幾時送小朋友返英國，冇一定，冇絕對，每個家庭都唔同。有人話y7 好，但亦有人話太細，我地揀y9, 某情況度上覺得13歲，起碼都成熟少少，如遇到問題起碼冇咁驚，再加上我哋年年暑假都返英國住返幾星期（有時聖誕都返）。返到英國冇工人姐姐，所以家務小朋友都要分擔，我哋覺得起碼比較獨立.
係呀，正常係要喺英國住滿3年，入U 先可以比local fees, 但我知有例外，如我先生嘅好友，全家去咗中東，小朋友都係喺中東出世，3年前返英國讀U, 但比local fees, 因為學校話係conditional offer. 至於點會有呢個special offer, 我冇深究。

所以我同我先生決定唔冒險，遲早都要返，咪早啲返，好似我大女讀boarding school, 放假咪返奶奶家，起碼入U 時唔使比貴學費

TY is the second most competitive kinder.
Since you live in West Kowloon, you may consider applying Tung Chung, which got a nicer campus and far less competitive.
