有無join過耀鐘baby playgroup ？

聽講耀鐘有d playgroup，6個月baby都可以玩，有無人join過可以分享下？每次幾耐、幾錢、值得參加嗎？

My son joined the playgroup at around 1.5yr old.  It is not actually a playgroup because you have to select either 3 or 4or5 days per week and each section takes around 3-3.5 hours.   For my personal opinion it is better to let your kid to join when he/she is a yr old.  Hope the information could help you.

The one you mentioned is "Infant and Toddler Learning Programme" (ITLP). Infants can join this programme when they reach 6 months old. Each session, either morning or afternoon, lasts for 2.5 hours. My daughter has been in the morning session (9 -11:30 am) for seven months (from Jan - July 2006). 14 July 2006 was her last day at Yew Chung.

Although it costs quite a lot, it is a painful decision for me to put an end to this (as my second child is coming soon and we can't afford the time for her communting to and from school.)

My daughter did enjoy the time at ITLP a lot and developed some skills which could hardly be learnt at home. Recently, she likes counting a lot  (from 1-10). More importantly, she loves the school and the teachers/staff. I could tell by her big smile everytime she entered the premises. (Besides, when our car passed by Yew Chung today, she uttered "學校" ("school" ))  I know she will miss the school, so will I.

Just want to share one thing, there is no perfect school for everyone. But I am really glad that I found one that suited my daughter.

Thanks a lot for your reply !! And congratulations to your second baby ! Its not a easy decision to have 2 children nowaday ! Glad to know that your daughter like YC. Yeah I agree that there's no perfect school. This is just what being hard as our decision will directly affect the kids. Anyway, can you tell more about your experience? How old is your baby when she first joined the ITLP ? Do you couples + maid speak English with her daily ? Are you going to put her to international kindys ? Hope to hear your opinions further

My daughter joined Yew Chung when she was 15 and a half months old. She is now 22 months old. At ITLP, they do lots of finger painting, play dough, sing the morning/goodbye/weather songs and have circle time, etc...

When infants reach the classroom, they are asked to take off their shoes and put them on the shelf by themselves. Infants are also encouraged to have snacks and, when finished, put the plates into the box by themselves.

As for the language part at ITLP, to your disappointment (perhaps), around 75% contribute to Cantonese. At home, I speak English to my daughter everyday but my hubby and my Indo maid do not. It seems like my daughter is able to distinguish both languages. For example, when my hubby asks her, "貓貓呢?", she answers "呢度". When the same question is asked in English, her answer will be "Here."
(NOTE: I talked to my daughter in Cantonese ONLY before she turned one!)

My plan is, this year, I will put my daughter in the international class at a "local stream" nursery. And in Year 2007, she will go to a "through train" international school to continue her schooling.
