BB 八個月大，想之後讀IS, 搵緊d 有 playgroup 的IS, 但冇乜。esf 有playgroup 但而家唔知點解冇得報。大家知唔知仲有咩IS 有playgroup? 謝謝(emoji)

有留意呀，見大家comment 非常好。不過我上網見佢而家只係可以報2020 spring term (1-4 月）send 左messsge 去問。九龍塘好過黃埔？見大家話九龍塘N 只收1-4 月出世大B，而黃埔大細B都牧，但我囡八月出世，係咪playgroup 報返黃埔playgroup好d?

ESF playgroups may reopen for summer time. I've been told more information may be released end of May on their website.

My son has been attending playgroups before since he was 15 months at ESF Tsing Yi kindergarten. It wasn't hard to get a place. Some weekend times might be more popular but I was still easily able to get a place online on their website.

In that case, if commute is not a huge problem, whampoa playgroup will be better for you, because they can almost go straight to whampoa nursery (have priority to choose am class). And the child will be more familiar with the place so won’t have much separation anxiety at start of nursery.

Dunno will it be easier to get a place in K if studying ESF’s playgroup ......seems it is very difficult to get a place in ESF if just holding a local passport.....

If u r living nearby Tai Tam, can consider to join this one, my friend joined this playgroup and the school finally offered his son for nursery place without interview, but only if you want to join the school of course, he finally gave up with other school offer, most importantly it is totally free! hope it helps.

Not yet, my son will be starting ESF K1 this coming August.
I think officially, attending playgroup doesn't give priority to K unfortunately.

I'll have to be honest ESF playgroups really depends on your luck with teachers. We had a so so teacher to start and then another teacher came along who was excellent.

Yes, it's quite repetitive but also highly dependent on the teacher you get. But for babies I think repetition is no harm.
I think Tutortime playgroups are quite good bilingual Eng + Mandarin, though no primary/international school attachment of course.

You can’t just request transferral, need to apply and get through assessment, but should not be difficult.

I've been told there are no summer camps or playgroups at ESF Tsing Yi this summer because they are doing renovations.

I think you'll have to wait and check on their website. But previously during term time they had playgroups on weekdays late afternoon after PM Kindy class is finished and also on weekends sat and sun.
